Is the Tornado F.3 Late worth it?

Hey guys.

Believe it or not, but I like the F-4F ICE because of Fox 3s and IRCCM Aim-9s, despite everything else being terrible.

Now, the Tornado F.3 Late seems to come with pretty much the same kit, but its radar only offer HDN mode - is that really that big of a disadvantage compared to F-4F ICE’s radar? I have used the F-14 and did not had good experience with HDN radars, but some poeple said that the Tornado radar is really good, so.

The Foxhunter radar is extremely solid, if all you are worried about is the radar performance on it, then dont.

Id be more concerned about the performance of its BOL (also could really do with its missing Phimat(s) )

I dont think it’ll be worth it for you Tiger_Tank.

Its purely an air-to-air fighter so it cant take bombs and its stock grind is atrociously bad with some of the worst Modifications ive ever seen.

You get 2 AIm120’s stock and your Skyflashes go on the same pylons as them, so you either cosplay a 12.0 plane at 13.0 or you stick with 2 Aim120’s till your tier 4 mod.
Limiting your total output either way.

Not to mention its flight performance is very bad at 13.0. Youre slow and fat in a meta around agile and fast planes. You cant turn well enough to be able to react to close range threats like a 6km ER so you always have to position yourself well.

I wouldnt say its radar is extremely solid but its better than the F14’s so you decide if you like it.

This plane feels like a chore to play since it can be countered extremely easy by someone that either knows how to notch or multipath and flare.

Dont even get me started on uptiers, youre basically free food for anyone that pushes you. even uptiers to 13.3 is suicide

Its a very tedious plane so a Big NO, its not worth it
