Is the TO-55 worth it during a 50% sale?

So, I am looking for a good GE premium to grind rank 5 USSR. I am still kinda bad, so that is why I am not looking at the 2S38/T80UD. I am currently at rank 4, with the IS-2 (1944), BTR-ZD, T-34-85, ISU-122, and about to get the T-44. So, is it worth the 4K GE? Also is it a good lineup with the MiG-15bis ish?

I like it, and ya the mig15bisish is good too.

The 55 amd going up to 9.0 should in theory greatly help the MM for it.

I really wish the flamethrower could start fires on enemy tanks, right now its basically just a funny smoke screen thats somewhat useful, and you might crash somones frames playing on a potato.

You also get some decent tt vics to go with it, radar zsu 23, and the light vic at 8.0 i forget.

Also do you have any tips for how to use it? I’ve read things like hull down and flanking, is that correct?

Ya the turret armor is great, you want to hide the glass window on it if you can with some bushes because good players will go for that front aspect hull down besides breach.

You dont get the dart the other t55 have, but getting a 0.3 br reduction is well worth that, esp now that the main force force dragging you into uptiers is being moved to 9.0, a lot less ppl will be playimg the t55amd bc of that as well.

Use the flamethrower like a range smoke launcher that blinds your enemy but not you, for instance if you are brawling close and you crit somone and they are about to shoot back douse em, works sometimes to make them miss your weakspots.

Ok. What is the “glass window”? Is it the flamethrower?

The gunner sight opening, but looking at the protection map I don’t think they even modeled it. I swear i’ve had frenchbeasts shooting me there and killing my whole crew every time but seems like they pen regardless.

naw dont bother its doesn’t seem to be modeled, your weakest spot hull down is gonna but the copula above the gunner.

Yes, it’s very good. I suggest bring majority APHE and a few HEATFS. APHE might not have great pen but it consistently one taps and you can always switch to HEATFS
