but there is strv 103a at 8.0 and its pretty killable. I mean the whole point of the strv103 is to be NOT easilly killable, same with T58. Why should this be an issue?

As i remember only difference in protection is that fence, which wont really make a difference as no one pens neither strv103 to UFP at that rank. Main difference would be an APFSDS which isnt balanced much

APDS dont work on basic Strv103A (and even 103-0 which has worse protection), but HEATS is really a good argument. They also work bad with the A and 0, but with fence its basically guaranteed unpen
Ok my main poit its that isnot fun to face it (t58) just as much as 4.7 jumbo was or 8.3 t55am 7.7 puma 10.3 bmpt ecc… so it nead to be put where it cant be as obnoxius probably not even 9.0 will be enougt but for shure is a good start
I dont see a reason of it going frther than 8.7. In my opinion 8.3 is enough, and 8.7 is radically last resort for that tank to be somewhat enjoyable. What should be done is that they need to fix the HESH work so it would work as intended, and not as small nuke HE if hit tracks.
Its just to stron ad even statistic prove (especialy for a premum main trea veicles) it its best if it become more enjoiable to play a whole br then a single veicles
bro idk, the Somua has same amount of games and same stats, but its pretty balanced where it is.
you can argue its minor nation but its a minor nationw with MORE games, and the Somua is pretty popular heavy tank anyhow.

Minor nations’ premiums have better stats than their TT equivalents.
So that said, Somua barely even performing better than T58 in March just confirms latter is in a need of a BR change.

Ah but then again, the Somua is the only french premium with such high stats. TO90 doesnt appear so strong, FIROS doesnt (not premium but ok), AMX30 doesnt. Especially in comparison with other premium tanks of rank 5 and 6.

Somua is basically as OP by stats as t58, but somehow somua is in place and t58 isnt.
I dont believe that such an old school tank should go any further than 8.3.

Eh it’s a catch 22 the people who were abusing it and using it droves, like we got with the BMPT 72 right now have left it, which leaves the more diehard, better players of that vehicle to use it. Like the T54E1, years ago it used to have decent stats and is actually a really good tank.
But not many people bought it.
T58 Hull is still an M103 hull at the end of the day I’ve never understood why folks struggled with to fight it.
(that statement does not take away the fact it was and is an extremely solid tank due to the reload rate and turret armour / traverse)
the Somau SM has been needing an uptier since the Char 25T went to 8.0
