Is the Su-57 really worse than the F-22?

Nuh you’re right

can you say in one message that the J-15 and the SU-33 is the exact same aircraft? or that the SU-35 and the J-16 is the exact same for me?

So naming an aircraft a different name and adding few stuff to it is called a change to you?

It’s pretty easy to call a moderator and clean up all of your yap, again i suggest moving back to F-22 and SU-57.

i just want you to clarify your point, just say that the SU-33 and J-15 is the exact same

Didn’t check any source stating that they’re different, maybe share some and correct me.

I ain’t saying anything, SU-33 being different than the J-15 is irrelevent to the topic.

Im getting a feeling bringing down the hammer aint a bad idea

Anyways, I’d like to quickly state that the SU-57 is 100% a 5th generation fighter but just a weak one at that which far exceeds 4.5 generation aircraft. It’s more capable than the F-22 in a general sense of multirole but due to incredibly slow production runs I doubt it will ever enter full service in large numbers.

Best to overestimate than underestimate

knew this thread would be a battlefield just from the name of the topic

Comparing an aircraft cockpit that’s ahead of the SU-33 by decades and being shocked if they’re not having the same cockpit
Shocker

People that say that su-57 is a 4.5 generation aircraft just ignore them they don’t know what they’re talking about

What about the Radar capabilities, several people say that its equipped with a bad one compared to the F22, don’t know if its true or not.

Meant same in design.

Russia is famous for their radars, it’s safe to say the radar installed on the SU-57 is good enough for the modern battlefield. It always ends to the same thing however, how much can Russia bare to produce?

Use this as a example to imagine how it would look like, the SU-57 has 2 side mounted radars one on both sides which increases overall detection coverage.

The radar on the F-22 however is aging but still more than capable, I’d possibly go with Russia on this one but only for radar in all honesty - this wouldn’t matter however as the F-22 has a far smaller RCS.

Su-57 would probably loose to any modern NATO aircraft. Like the Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen or F15.

F22 was built for air superiority and not multirole. It’s been bodged to carry bombs but was never intended for that.

I don’t know man I’m extremely doubtful about that cuz what’s easier to track 1 m square target or sub 1-m Square target

I’m a UK national and love UK aircraft with the British Phantoms being one of my most favourite alongside the Harrier so I’m slightly bias but I have to disagree.

The SU-57 is better than both the Typhoon and Gripen without a doubt and obviously better than the ancient F-15. The Typhoon does have the nasty Meteor missile but that’s all it has going for it, all British Typhoons are yet to even receive a AESA radar and are falling behind China and the US.

The Typhoon is competent but not on the level of any 5th generation aircraft
