I’m getting bored with the pace of the grind using the squadron Hunter and was thinking about buying the Mig-21 Lazur during the sale. Is it still viable in 2026? I’ve seen some complaints from 2025 and earlier but nothing recent. It looks like they changed the missiles from R-60Ms to R-60MKs but I don’t know if that makes much of a difference at that tier.
It’s a good plane at 11.0, and the best premium in its rank for Germany imo.
They’re the same missile just with a different name.

I thought the difference was the MKs were all aspect?
R-60s are the rear aspect version, the R-60M and MK are all aspect, with the MK being the export designation for the missile.
21bis (of which the Lazur one is a variant) is great in sim for sure

I think I only ever uptiered the 21bis to 11.7
On 12.0 days i prefer to hunt F-4S in the mirage F1
depends its a very high skill ceiling plane if your below average no if your above yes if your a average pilot id say no not for that price its not a no brain missile spam plane like mirage F1C-200 or F4S

(squadron/non premium event vehicles have the same rp penalties for researching outside +/- 1 rank as normal tech tree vehicles)
