Is the loading time of the Chinese Army’s Tier 8 vehicles, such as the ZTZ99A, WZ1001(E), and VT4A1, no longer competitive? In comparison, the Soviet Union’s Tier 8 vehicle T90M also has a loading time of 7.1 seconds, but they have faster loading options like the T80BVM and the rapid-fire light vehicle 2S38. Should the loading time of the Chinese Army’s Tier 8 vehicles be improved to a level of 6.5 seconds? I request an official response to my inquiry.
The ZTZ99A, WZ1001(E) and VT4A1 have a 7.1s reload because of their AZ Autoloader, same as with the T90M.
The T80BVM uses the MZ autoloader with an in-game reload of 6.5s (can reload as fast as 4s).
What you are proposing here would be unrealistic.
Excuse me, will new ground vehicles be introduced in the future to fill the vacancies of the Chinese Army 12.0?
I don’t know
Well, thanks for the answer.
No worries. Perhaps an admin may help out here?
Thank you, I think I should analyze the map and play more to improve my skills, this is more helpful for me, thank you again for your reply.
Glad I could help
However it has been well known they in fact have 6.7 second reload, however this is a purely Gaijin balancing decision so there is nothing else needed to stop them from allowing faster reloads.
With evidence of this I think it is in the Thai manuals although I have only seen scraps showing 9 rounds/min.
What has a 6.7s reload?
The AZ or MZ autoloader?
The VT4’s autoloader was proven to have a 6.7 reload in the Thailand technical manual, and since the VT4 uses the same one as the ZTZ99A and WZ, they should all have a 6.7 second reload.
It’s not even a balance debate anymore since all of those vehicles are significantly worse than the BVM so they need to get a faster reload at least on par or better (6 seconds) than BVM.
From what I have researched, the VT-4 uses the AZ-172 (commonly known as just 'AZ") autoloader, shared with the t72A
the T72B and T90 use the AZ-184 (sligtly newer).
So this buff would also buff the T-72 and T90 series as well as all chinese tanks using the AZ-172/184 autoloader.
I doubt it, as the Chinese modified the autoloaders to achieve the quicker reload as can be seen in videos as well, whereas Russia just didn’t and still uses the old design, with only the T-80 series being able to fire quicker to due a very different design.
Same story as with the Yugoslavian M-84 tanks, which are commonly referenced as having upgraded autoloaders to achieve 9 RPM, which wouldn’t make the original T-72s magically be able to as well…
I think there’s a video out there that shows the Chinese tanks reloading faster than 7.1s
How did they modify them? do you have a source?
I don’t know what modifications they made, I just know the VT4 should have faster reload and logically, China would use the same autoloaders in the ZTZ99(A) series for logistic purposes etc
The auto loaders would need modification cause the Chinese tanks are different in shape and everything, which would require redesign of placement of certain parts. Also to note, the loading process can simply be done faster, without much modification at all.
Ok, sure, but they still use the same autoloader from what i’ve gathered. (The PDF doesnt work for me fyi)
So anyway, it comes down to the following:
-
The sources on what exact autoloader the Chinese use are very vague. All i can tell is that its based on the MZ autoloader (which MZ model, I don’t know)
-
You could be correct in that Chinese tanks have a faster reload IRL due to a different autoloader.
-
But point 2 ties back into point 1, as I dont know if the Thai trials state the autoloader used.
They can still have better reload without. It doesn’t take that much to improve on the mechanism.
What improvements have they made? And how do we know that the T90M etc havent had similar improvements?
