Is the Indian Mig 21 Bison any good

I want a good grinder for britain. Since there’s a sale currently i wonder if it is any good. The highest BR jet that i have ever played is the american 8.3BR sabre. I’m well aware that at the Mig’s BR i have much to learn about missiles and stuff which i should be able to figure it out quickly.

yes, but you’d experience a bit of a learning curve. I don’t own it myself, but often find those who use it doing quite well.

MiG-21Bison is the one and only British premium jet which is worth buying.
Every other premium jet is paid British tax too heavily, and half of them were terminated from the Gaijin market.

Fuselage is just a basic MiG-21bis fuselage, which is meh for that BR but not that much awful.
Radar and RWR improvement were juicy.
Just be careful about having too much speed, its wings get ripped off at 1365km/h at sea level.

60CM can be felt a little bit short in stock, but it is also quite standard-ish for jets in the nearby, so you need to get used to it.

A2A weaponry is solid.
R-73 is a free kill taker if you get used to it. IRCCM with thrust vectoring is easy to use even without HMS.

GSh-23 gun is painful to use, and has an infamous about it. But still better, and easier to use than the British counterpart ADEN.

R-27R is a mediocre missile. You will be going to face a way superior counterpart, AIM-7F or THAT 27ER, constantly. Still better than skyflash though. Not that bad.

R-27T can be another option for that slot, but ehhh… I don’t think you will going to need another two IR missiles when you can use two solid R-73.

If you really want to grind braindeadly, you can sacrifice R-27 with two ZB-500 napalm, which is capable of taking a single base down.
I saw quite a much of 21bison do that, but I wouldn’t recommend it bc it needs to sacrifice altitude.

Just worry about the learning curve.
If you have never flown anything higher than F-86F-25, you might need to learn lots of things to survive over there.
