HELL NO, the F-4 junk is the worst top tier premium aircraft by quite the margin, besides you’re not missing out on much for the British tree. Just wait for the Bison to go on sale.

The F4J has never been OP. in fact its always been and still is one of the weakest F4s in the game. Its a real shame, but alas thats Gaijin+Britain for you.
The Sea-Vixen is my recommendation for interesting British Premium aircraft
the F-4J UK is the single worst rank 7 premium in the game, it is an absolute slog of a plane to use to grind. I would sooner pay 75 dollars outright for the Bison, than pay 30 dollars for a discounted F-4J UK
