Hello, I wanted to ask if the F-18C Early is worth getting right now? I currently have the F4S but I’m thinking about getting the F-18C Early even though I heard that it wasn’t as good as some people said it was. Should I wait until they lower it’s BR in the future or should I just get it?
I wouldn’t recommend it. Sure, it’s quite strong in top but playing against 13.7 is tough, especially since most fighters there have Fox-3 missiles.
Of course, it’s very maneuverable and dynamic, with plenty of missiles, but its maximum speed at low altitude is quite low, making it almost impossible to catch up to even an F-16. The missiles often behave strangely (which isn’t surprising since they’re AIM-7), though the 9Ls frequently hit the enemy, ignoring countermeasures when fired from the rear hemisphere
