Is the D-Tech armor simulated wrong in the game?

I heard that D-Tech armor didn’t only add the NXRA outside, but also improve the NERA inside. Although I can only find out the performance of the D-Tech armor system, I can’t find how it works. So I can’t make sure that Gaijin did the wrong thing about the Leopards. Could you find some information to proof is?Thanks a lot.

Please give me some replys.

It is but gaijin is very strict with their selective realism policy so they refuse to acknowledge that. Im fairly sure they used the Swedish test as source for the 2a7v for no reason at all.

But I can’t find any information about that D-Tech changed the NERA inside.

I would be surprised if you can find any reliable info on this because it should be secret info.

Well we’re not allowed to post this info anyway but there’s enough information about the internal armor upgrade being a thing but obviously gaijin doesn’t accept it when it’s western (unless it’s for nerfs then a clip or something is enough)while Russia just needs a random blog post for a buff lmao
But i highly doubt a prototype from 88 has the same armor as a modern 2a7v

I guess you are right

Actually TVM(MAX) was made in 1990s? Although NO CHANGEING seems like full of boo shit, I can’t find any information to question it…Really painful isn’t it?

the actual armour mixes are very inaccurately represented in game. almost 20-30% worse than irl. but unfortunately we cannot provide any declassified sources

Still waiting for a source from gaijin justifying the strv armor nerf lmao

2 things i found in an Bugreport about the Leo 2A7V protection

Gajin is just irrational when its about the Leopard and M1. See all these nerfs and the turret basked thing. The fact that the Swedish tests are the base for their armor assumptions is just another part of this. I mean the new armor weighs much more…they even had to design a new gearbox and lower max speed to keep its mobility up. But still, its armor isn’t better than 30 yo tests in another country. You can’t made up these stories. I often tell stuff like this to other wargaming communities and they just shake heads over it.

So we have decades old Swedish Leos with lighter but better armor, while maintaining their old top speed. While the up to date A8 model has less efficient armor with more weight and decreased speed. It just makes no sense.

That’s what I WANT!
So that the D-Tech on leopard A7V should has the much better performance than the game shows? More than 750mmKE?

Speed governor is programmed, so that part at least makes sense.
After all, with speed governor edited or disabled, Abrams can reach 100kph, and Leopard can probably exceed 90kph as well with 100kph being possible if the tracks stay attached.
Leclerc has been tested to ~90kph as well with its speed governor changed/disabled.

But the guestimations Gaijin makes about armor in order to avoid any chance of lawsuit from any government is… annoying.
