I noticed there’s been a lot of activity regarding the recent “vt4 in Japan” ruckus, and there’s been a lot of people arguing the Chinese are being too sensitive and they should have no say on this. So what would players of other nations react in a similar situation?
they were not justified.

I don’t believe it was justified. It is very selfish and closed-minded to want to deny Thai players of their MBT purely because those Chinese players don’t like Japan (whether justified or not).

Few players can realize that the VT-4 thing is not the core of Chinese players’ dissatisfaction, and it is just the spark that ignited long-term dissatisfaction.
Disappointingly, all posts talking about Chinese players’ dissatisfaction and the long-term unfair treatment towards Chinese vehicles have been deleted and the players banned by Gaijin’s moderators.

A lot of the banned/deleted posts center around the VT-4 being added to Thailand / JPN. I won’t deny that the Chinese tree has been treated badly, however the majority of the aggression and the bulk of the posts from Chinese speakers on these forums is all about the VT-4* recently.
Not all of them.
I will say that the Chinese-speaking bug reporters need to improve. I’ve seen some super in depth posts by Chinese players be denied. I recommended to many of them to repost them in English.

If the issue was that chinese VT-4 was being added to Japanese TT, then and only then I would actually understands most of the historical arguments that were put forth by the chinese community for denial of VT-4 to Japan.
But it wasnt chinese VT-4, but thai VT-4. Entirely different matter. Chinese players were trying to block an addition of single vehicle to a subtree thats already in game due to what exactly?
Because the word “subtree” implies inferiority in chinese? Then thats issue with translation. its just the same as folder - subfolder relationship, just how the things are organized. If the “sub” would imply inferiority, id like the chinese community to explain to me how they understand the word submarine then.
Because people could put japanese flag on VT-4 and that is disrespectful?

Because historical reasons? As mentioned above, these would apply only if the tank in question was chinese, which it wasnt.
Shouldnt thai community be the most important when it comes to decisions regarding thai vehicles?
