The T-34E STZ has a very powerful UFP, capable of bouncing the Pz.IV H’s 75mm cannon and can effectively neutralize threat it can face except the Churchill VII, but that has problems killing it in return. It also has a 500hp engine to boot. Lastly the tank has very good turret traversal I like it, but I think it seems a bit OP
The turret is fairly weak though, and many low tier tanks are undertiered (Chaffee my love) due to new players using them and dying a lot
It could be bumped up to 4.3 to match the arcade rating.
It seems to be the only T-34 up to rank 3 that has a different BR rating for arcade and RGB, which seems a bit odd. And it’s not like it wouldn’t have a lineup with KV-1S, ASU-57 and SU-85 all at 4.3 already.
Realistically the T-34 1942 is better because of the better turret
not much of a reason for it to be the same br as the t34 747 which is strictly better than the stz
Well the 1942 might have 8mm better turret armor, but that does not offset the extra 15mm (sloped) UFP armor. Plus the STZ has better top speed (56 vs 49).
The 53mm armor on the 1942 turret might make a small difference, but the 60mm UFP of the STZ offers 120mm (or more) protection.
IMO making the STZ BR rating in Arcade and RGB the same at 4.3 is not unreasonable. It’s certainly better than the 1941 version which is … 4.0
I am talking about the german one which is basically the 1942 with the extra armour from the stz, giving the same br as in arcade is simply not enough of a reason for it two to have the same br since there are lots of tanks that doesnt share the same br to begin with and the 747 is simply better thanks to the better turret and the faster reload, also the turrent isnt just 8mm thicker, but the armour overlaps so youre looking at over 100mm on the cheeks
So at what point are people going to realize that the only upside to this vehicle is the upper plate and if you uptier it to the point the upper plate stops being armored the entire vehicle becomes useless
I’ve played this vehicle very recently and spaded it. It’s extremely mediocre.
There’s basically nothing that can go through 60mm at 60° unless a 17pdr.
But that improvement hardly matters since not a lot of vehicle could go through 45mm at 60° anyway.
However the STZ is a straight upgrade over the T-34 1941.
Well …
- 747 is premium, so they tend to be a bit better for the same BR. Just like the T-34-57 (1943)
- What KillaKiwi said.
Which doesn’t matter because you can just shoot the turret, also there is a lot in uptiers that can pen the t34 stz ufp
Right
The 1941 is overtiered. I don’t see why it went up.
It’s still pretty good at 4.0 but the 1942 is so much better with that insane turret armor at the moment.
All early T-34 need a massive RoF nerf to snap them back to reality.
If there was one thing the T-34 wasn’t known for, it’s RoF. Even though some Russian fanboys like to disagree.
These vehicles aren’t overperforming.Their reloads are also already very slow
1942 is way worse. Hull obviously is worse, but I also found the turret it worse because its weakspots are much larger. The 1941 and STZ both have much harder to hit weakspots on the turret, and then the hull is impossible
Actually I kill.1942 way more reliably with US 75mm. 1941 bounced most of my shots.
Oh right. Because 6.5-6.9s for a 76mm APHE round is sooo slow.
If they reloaded in 10s they would still beat out other tanks in performance because they still have amazing armor, mobility and turret traverse.
But somehow T-34s can’t have single disadvantage.
The only weakspot on the 1942 is the turret ring
You make it incredibly hard to respond politely if you insert this aggressive tone
The best way to respond to me is with facts.
I‘m not the one insinuating that 76mm T-34s somehow have any meaningful disadvantage in RoF compare to other tanks.
Most other medium tanks have a three man turret with better ammo stowage and space inside the turret.
