Is something ever gonna be done about VK 3002?

This is just getting ridiculous. VK 3002 is EASILY a 5.7 tank, why does Gajin think it should be facing off against 3.7 opponents?

It’s faster than most light tanks, near impenetrable hull and pretty thick turret, extraordinarily powerful cannon that even churchills and Kv-1s don’t stand a chance against, and Gajin seriously thinks it should be facing off against 75mm Shermans and T-34s? This is ridiculous. VK 3002 deserves 5.3 AT A MINIMUM.

Oh and don’t even try to claim its slow turret traverse is why it should be as low as it is.

If that’s the case then the Panther D will be 6.0…

I use the pair of them a lot, and I have a lot of fun doing charges with the Panther and just laying waste as I push up to points without stabilizers. The suspension is just awesome.

First off it’s 5.0, not 4.7 as you seem to think. Second, it’s got 60mm at 55deg on the UFP for 105mm LoS- reliably penetrated by the majority of cannons at the BR. And finally there’s the big ones- 6deg/s turret traverse (full minute for 360) and 4kmh reverse rate.

I know it’s 5.0, and the 4.0s it faces, namely the 4.0 Kv-1, T-34, Sherman, and Churchill, which btw are all amazing tanks at their br, are completely helpless against a VK 3002. Not to mention, VK 3002 gets tons of downtiers, and prolly well over 80% of the enemies you face bring lower brs tanks. It’s very common to see M4s and Cromwells despite them being outside it’s BR range. 5.0 v.s 4.7 means nothing since you’re facing new players who are grinding the TT and don’t have full lineups.

105mm effective armor is also BS. It’s significantly thicker in practice than on paper due to hills and > > angling < < If you’re getting penned frontally regularly then that is your own problem.

A slow reverse and turret rotation are both very easy to play around, and aren’t any sort of justification for its BR.

Sherman struggles to pen Even stuff like T-34 or KV-1 at times

Shoot the tracks and keep shooting the tracks. If players weren’t so stupid at this game it wouldn’t be an issue. Oh a Maus, yes, let’s all cower in our spawn point like 14 year olds who’re playing paint ball for the first time.

I used to attack medium and heavy tanks with my bosvark and then run away, while more capable tanks hid like cowards.

And Kv-1 and T-34 can struggle against a Sherman aswell.

So what are these “more capable tanks” when you’re playing Shermany?

Is this guy complaining the Proto-panther is broken?
It’s as armored as an M10. Aka it’s not.

Indeed sinister

Ah carry on then.

Just another US main overreacting against germany tanks.

It’s 5BR so it will only ever see 4.0 BR in a down tier never 3.7 .Like any fully down tiered tank in the right hands it will probably runaway with the game but that is War Thunder for you.Germany have suprisingly little that is fast and mobile and useful to attack .Maybe why they do so badly when it comes to winning games. They also have no 5BR line up so the VK will most be in with 5.7 anyway as a sort of German M18 Hellcat

No.

Completely false. You more common battle are uptiers to 5.7 and 6.0.

You means like VK3002 ? because is the only 5.0 Germany tank in the TT.

What hills??? the 80% of the maps are flat urban areas LMAO.

Yes, you are right, the only problem is yours and only yours.

You angled it way too much its practically side on, if you look at his image it isnt pennable angled correctly

Even in a perfect angle, you can shot his tracks, cupola or wait he aim his slow turret for shot in the frontal weakspots or disable his barrel.
The most common is if someone try angle his hull expose too much his side and reveal the weakspot.
Personally i never see semeone trying angle the Panther, a tank well know for his extremly weak sides.

I’d put it at 5.3, it has zero business facing 4.0 tanks that it can lolpen, while they have to aim for smaller weakspot.

Ye 5.3 would prolly be fine, but it wouldn’t have any issues performing at 5.7.

I didn’t really like the vehicle when I played it. It doesn’t have much armor over a Sherman and doesn’t really get a stabilizer or traverse that would make it comparable. The VK3002 and the Panther D are more like tank destroyers than anything else.

I don’t understand why people think the vehicle is all that great. I’d rather play a Sherman 76mm for the traverse and stabilizer.
