Hi guys. I’ve been playing the ja37di premium for a bit, seems to be relaxing plane to play if all you are doing is to fire missiles then go back to base ASAP.
But i’ve heard people say that it lacks datalink for the radar and that AMRAAMs (Rb99) only go pitbull within 16km, therefore making 16km+ shots luck based on the IOG.
I have scored 30km shots with it, and it seems unlikely that the target was full on AFK in a straight line, so eh.

No. All AMRAAMs have data-link ti help them guide it untill 16 km when it goes pitbull. Technically the AMRAAM is limited by kinematics only
Only when it was first released; 4 datalink channels were added a month after release in the Storm Warning update, though it wasn’t mentioned in the changelog.

You can check stats like that in the x-ray view. The premium JA37DI has 4 data link channels (i.e. can guide 4 ARH missiles at the same time before they go pitbull).
