Well guess what? The only MBTs that saw combat in the last decade are abrams, leopards, and T-series. There are literally no unique stuff you can add.
Find me someone competent at the game that says ZTZ99A and VT4A1 are on par with abrams and leos.

Challenger 2 fought in Ukraine. And since when did War Thunder only add vehicles that have seen combat?
The Type 10, K2 and Leclerc are all examples of different modern MBT designs.
The lack of combat experience doesn’t mean a tank shouldn’t be added to the game.
It is figurative. The point is that those 3 are major export vehicles, and hence nations that don’t have their own top tier will have those. You ain’t going to see a dutch Type 10, because they don’t buy them, they bought leo 2s.
I said they’re capable, not that they’re equal to the Abrams or Leopard 2.
Being less competitive doesn’t mean being useless. That’s why we have BR adjustments in the first place.
If they are at the same BR, why would there be an incentive to grind a worse vehicle than another nation?
Relying on BR adjustments doesn’t solve the fundamental issue. If you move something down or up, you make gaps that have to be filled in.
Because not everyone grinds a nation just to get the strongest tank at a given BR.
Some of us actually enjoy different tank designs and playstyles. If everyone only cared about the meta, we’d all be driving the same few tanks.
And if a vehicle is genuinely underperforming, that’s what BR adjustments are for.
And some of us care about the gameplay, and what the vehicle brings to the table other than larp.
Riddle me this. If a vehicle at top tier, which is the only top tier the nation has, is underperforming and moved down, how are you filling the gap left behind? Especially one that the nation doesn’t have a tank for?
Not every nation needs a perfectly filled lineup at every BR. And adding an Abrams or Leopard to every tech tree isn’t the only way to solve balance issues.
I’d rather have some gaps than see every nation end up with the same tanks.
You just realized that? I realized that years ago.
That’s a valid problem, and I agree BR adjustments alone can’t always solve it.
But I don’t think every nation needs to be equally competitive at the very highest BR. Some nations simply don’t have the real-world vehicles for it.
I’d rather see Gaijin improve matchmaking and balance than keep filling every gap with another Leopard or Abrams.
That’s exactly how you create BR voids (like ground 8.7) where countries that do have lineups oppress those that don’t. Which degrade the very gameplay you’re advocating.
Haha, I guess I’m a few years late to the party. xD
I agree that BR gaps are a problem. But filling those gaps doesn’t always have to mean adding the same tanks across multiple nations.
And we’re getting pretty far from my original point. I’m talking about top-tier tech trees losing their identity, not arguing that lineup balance doesn’t matter.
And a lot of players do want their nation to be competitive, thus justifying gaijin to add them.
There isn’t an identity. Copy paste tanks and planes have been in the game for a long time.
I understand that. But there’s a difference between making a nation competitive and giving every nation the same tanks.
Gaijin needs to find a balance between competitiveness and tech tree identity. That’s all I’m asking for.
There simply isn’t a balance. And again, tech tree identity is basically non-existent, especially on minor trees. You’re advocating for uniqueness in an environment where uniqueness hasn’t been here for years.
Just because copy-paste vehicles have existed for years doesn’t mean tech trees never had their own identities.
There’s a difference between having some shared vehicles and having the same few tank families dominate almost every top-tier lineup.
and just because ‘copy-paste’ vehicles are still being added doesnt mean tech trees have lost their identities
I never said they’ve completely lost their identities. I’m saying they’re gradually becoming less distinct, especially at top tier.
There’s a difference between having some shared vehicles and increasingly relying on the same few tank platforms.
“some shared vehicles”

The top tier tanks feels “copy pasted” because everyone plays it. It being top tier also gives it visibility. In reality, it’s nowhere near the copy paste gaijin has practiced for years.
