Is expert crew qualification worth it for top tier aircraft?

I have every rank 8 aircraft in the US tech tree except for the AV-8B and the Golden Eagle. I have a maxed out pilot for my crews, however it feels like I g-lock far quicker than some of my opponents. I am not the best at grinding silver lions so 1.1 million is a big investment for me. Do you guys think that an expert qualification is worth it? If so what aircraft should I get it for first? I appreciate any guidance.

its the russian bais who g lock you

jokes a side
also grinding money with usa tree is pretty easy so go fot it. i am not a usa player but i could say go for either the F15C GE or the F-15E as the other are not worth at all ( could go for the f16 but with gaijin not wanting to add the aesa F-16V blk 72 )

I feel like it makes a noticeable difference g-lock wise. In that aspect it’s worth it, but primarily on planes which tend to pull a lot of g.

However, another important aspect to consider is that you only start getting ace crew experience once you’ve experted a crew. This means you should expert a crew you expect to play hundreds of matches in, even if g-lock is less of a concern.

Spading and acing helps so much with close range fights even in top tier.

Yes there are many times when I felt like if I could push my plane just a little more I could win but couldn’t

Its complicated, america doesn’t really have any meta planes. If depends if you prefer flying the f15 or f18 as both fly differently. Techinically the f18e super hornet needs to turn tighter in many cases so acing there could help with g-lock. Playing the f15 at high altitude only g-locks when notching really close to enemy planes.

Yes sorry I meant to say expert not ace.

Thank you very much for the guidance.

I meant that you can get ace crew for free, but only if you get ~1 million RP using the plane. However that RP-counter only starts counting once you’ve experted the crew. Hence it would be a waste to not expert a crew you will play with it a lot, even if g-lock on that plane is unimportant. So you should try to expert crews but the decision is based both on g-lock and expected playtime.

Ok thank you very much, that is good to know.

Expert qualification is a MUST in jets to minimize g-lock.

If I recall correctly Base crew exp + Expert + Ace = 50% + 30% + 20% of the skill distribution.
Which means if you add Expert to to your crew you will be increase its skill by at approx. +50% relatively to the original value, if it is already maxed out, if not you would be increasing the effectiveness further more,

In some cases even Ace is needed, although id recommend against GEing that.

If its something you play often, very much yes.

The G-Tolerance buff is notable and it means you can start earning RP for free ace sooner rather than later, which is another big jump. (I hate that RP earned before acquiring expert is just wasted)

I expert any aircraft that Im planning on actually playing often and needs to turn quite hard, fairly often and so G-Lock is becoming a problem.

(Though I really wish G-Tolerance crew rank had less of an impact and G-Suite did way more)

Not just G resistance, but experting buffs your detection ranges and I’ve found that you are more likely to get gun critical hits with an expert crew (tighter bursts, ie better RNG).

always it will greatly increase your survivability when notching at high speeds.

Its not just worth it. Its NECESSARY
