Early NVDs for Soviet WW2 tanks were mainly intended for marches, as they were usually issued to drivers only. If you take a look at my T-34-85 Model 1969 suggestion, you’ll see what I mean. I don’t think they were given night fighting periscopes, though I’m not 100% sure on that. However, it’s likely that whatever night vision equipment they did get wasn’t meant for combat use.

Indeed. I do agree that if it shares the same hull, it should be added instead. It is definitely a very interesting and good looking version. But unfortunately, it has to be a separate suggestion, especially if it’s a prototype, since most IS-2Ms had the 122mm.
I think the IS-2M with the 122mm could be added to East Germany, while this 100mm version could go to the USSR.

We already have that ingame, its an old battle pass vehice. It’s called Ob’yekt 248.
The only users of the IS-2M is Soviet Union and Cuba. The reason it is seen in Germany is because of the Soviet forces that were stationed there. This is like saying giving Poland a Su-27 because Soviets used them there.
You could also be confusing IS-2M in this case with IS-2 M1944, which is commonly called IS-2M, despite not being the real IS-2M.
That thing is a glass cannon at 6.7, not only that but it also doesn’t have the br-219D or whatever the name is of the shell.
Besides, console players can’t obtain that thing anymore.
I was citing my image in the history section (on the topic of East Germany), thank you for clarifying. Anyway, I do not believe that any Object vehicle should be part of the main tech tree, but that is purely my opinion.

more early cold war/ww2 era tanks should get nvd to get a full night battle potential and not get it ruined by thermal. Having a spooky thunder event with pitch dark and having to rely on low resolution nvds and ir spots to see but be seen was an extremely fun gameplay that unfortunately died very fast because of thermals.
Maybe it could be put in like IS-2 No.321 was.
If they do add it they should give it the 3BM7 APDS and 3BK10 HEAT-FS, otherwise it will be quire useless given the poor armour for the BR.
would make good 7.0 along with T44 100 as i feel it would be to good at 6.7 due to volumetric on the IS2 1944 likely would have a better reload too
