IS-1 Never Saw Service in 1945

A few minutes ago, the (45’) pack for the USSR was revealed. The problem is, there were no IS-1 (45’) tanks in service in 1945.

Ostwind 2 isn’t fake.

So what? The Brits also fought in North Africa and Italy. Having WWII Tanks that didn’t participate in D-Day is fine

The Avenger was still in prototype when the war ended though. It only saw service postwar.

where was it revealed? I checked the forum and gaijin shop and no trace of the pack?

it is quite literally a fake. if a second ostwind had ever gotten beyond a draft drawing it wouldn’t even have that kind of gun layout

Maybe so, but not everything in lowtier necessarily has to have served in WWII. It’s in the WWII-era BRs because of its capabilities, not the time period it was used in. Same goes for the Concept 3.

My main point was that just because a british tank didn’t serve in D-day, doesn’t mean there’s a reason why it shouldn’t have a place. However, if you wanna talk about British D-day tanks, it would be sick to get some of the Hobart’s Funnies

no reliable proof of this prototype actually being real so best to assume fake. this is late ww2 germany

realistically it would have had a different gun config like this:

This gun config was specifically not chosen because it would make it too tall.

It was made, shipped, and assigned to a regiment.

Dude just wants to make stuff up to be angry at.
This entire topic is being angry at things made up by the people that are angry.

After checking, you’re right about the Firefly, I though overlord was specifically the landings in France, But the Avenger definitely didn’t

Because those tanks’ suffix name is Overlord

All of this shows that gaijin wants to sell low effort vehicles from the tree instead of giving us proper vismod options for vehicles which people wanted since a long time

Gaijin is just adding premium packs like one for germany.

People should find better hobby rather than crying about it.

They were. Operation Overlord, D-Day–whatever you want to call it–were the amphibious landings in Normandy

No? I’m confused what you mean by the suffix name, could you elaborate?

As for the Sherman Firefly, it was employed far beyond the D-Day landings. It was used in the Eighth Army in Tunisia, saw further combat in Italy and in the allied push into the Rhineland.

If you didn’t notice, OP was referring to new pack vehicles

The pack they’re in is called the “Echoes of Overlord” pack.
