Ironclads and Monitors for Naval?

Hello everyone,

just like the Military Vehicles of the Great War, there have been even older combat vehicles that caught my eye and filled my mind with mystery and curiousity. Ships in strange shapes, clad in iron and with sharp angles, powered by steam and armed with cannons that remind of pirate ships, sporting hand cranked Rotary Guns…

These unusual behemoths, are the

Ironclads and Monitors

Prevalent in the second half of the 19th century, from 1859 to 1890 they fought for example in the American Civil War, Franco-Prussian and Crimean Wars.

They were the forebears of the Battleship, a class that brought forth famous Leviathans like the Bismarck and Yamato.

Could we see them in War Thunder in the future? Maybe with a few dedicated maps like American Civil War Maps etc.? Maybe they could be Event Vehicles like the WW1 Vehicles?

Maybe if they bring back the April fools event with the sailboats, i don’t remember what it was called.
The point is they would need their own gamemode for sure. Any reserve tier coastal boat could destroy them. Maybe if we get another “Great War” style event

Exactly, this would be perfect. And we can unlock and keep the vehicles again.

Since we already have destroyers from the 1910s this could work as April fools type of event like the ww1 stuff

I realise I mixed up one of the names Japanese battlecruisers from the Russo-Japanes war or something

I believe ik which you mean but its actually not we dont have any japanese ships that old in game
