Air to ground thermal locks have full unnerfed range. Its a bit dull…
Kh-38MT 3rd gen IIR seeker and TGP zoom levels is totally real comrade, but it’s seekret dokument at Gaijin HQ :))))
Found a kinda funny thing: This article says that BGT claims the following:
The IRIS seeker allows the missile to acquire targets at up to 90 degrees off-boresight and three to four times further away than can today’s Sidewinder, claims BGT - which also builds various versions of the Sidewinder missile under licence in Germany.
Now taking this report as the base for the seeker range of the AIM-9M, which is equivalent to the AIM-9L/I-1 seeker-wise, the lock-ranges for the IRIS-T (3-4 times the seeker range according to BGT) could range from at least 39 km (3x ~13 km) to >100 km (4x 28,7 km) lol
4km leave it or take it. And if you complain we are going to make it 2.
Spoiler

Guys, I actually found IRIS-T seekerhead on Ebay
bro…
This RII 4km logged into the official server, but it’s not 12km. It’s really bad. I hope even if I can’t RII 12km-20km, it’s better to change it to the previous 10km
ah the missile so nut now. Mainly against long range target. Just hope it reach 4km to get IR lock lol. It keep miss and still got amnesia issue when enemy pop up again on radar.
Since IRIS-T SLM reduced range IR seeker from 10km to 4km not works. So will Gayjin reduced it again to make it works (based on Gayjin logic)??

Apart from that, whenever I want to shoot at a target, it takes an eternity to launch the missiles, or it simply doesn’t do it.
I think I will stop playing toptier GRB for now since I can’t protect teammate from CAS/Heli properly now.
So iris-t is pretty much dead am I right or am I right?
You’re right when beyond four kilometers. And now, the IRiST is completely useless against helicopters with infrared countermeasures. On top of that, they have no intention of deploying better helicopters for Germany. So honestly, I don’t even know why I’m playing the German tech tree anymore. The experience isn’t just terrible; it’s downright boring.
and i just finished researching it. at least in arcade planes get slapped.
I mean what we were expecting, the only SPAA that was interrupting rusian point’n’click adventure at top tier. That just can’t exist, am I right? About 4km, your IRIS-T is now usable only starting from 1km for static 3km for moving (depending on vector) to 4km, that’s just hilarious. It was one of the best and now it’s a single worst top tier SPAA. I hereby retract all the “what are they thinking with?” questions, because the answer couldn’t be anything but a slur.
NCTR, distance to the target, speed of the target, type of target and a million other variables that tell the missile when to activate its IR seeker have been thrown out the window. A 2020 missile neutered to just 4 km range, these devs man.
As i predicted its completely dead, by far bc of this change it will be the worst performing top tear SAM, the 4km lock range, as i sed earlier isn’t by one bit a buff it’s a mega nerf, bc of it the missile can’t lock nor kill anything if it’s not 5 to 6 km away from it, targets that are 10km or further away are completely safe bc the moment the radar lock is gone the missile won’t go near them, ppl say its will help against LDIRCM and i just had a match against Z-10 and it’s doesn’t it still get blind by them, and completely miss, it can go near them and proxy but just one maneuver to get bit out of its way and the missile won’t proxy, gg.
The engagement distances in game are so short that the seeker would activate immediately upon launching, Gaijin’s 10 km lock range was a good estimate, but 4 km is just plainly bad, the only way anyone would die to it, is if they fly in a straight line and stay within radar lock. This is just pathetic.

Goodbye friend, we had fun, even if it was for a short while…
So Russian 1980s R27ET seeker outperforms a 2000s IRIS-T SLM seeker, lol
