They stated operational range as 40km which would have suggested this is the maximum range it is capable of operating in rather than reaching, but that could also be subject to certain things like battery and radar. Also that is of the system so the limit could be something other than missile.

must be lie, the iris T have issue tracking that far except it use IR TRK and tbh more than 20km the missile already so slow (to point it can’t engage target that have doin simple maneuver), so you must be have skill issue and not maneuvering enough. Bad day for you…
I landed and then it hit me, it was chasing me back to airbase but i was in J10, no MAWS so I didn’t know, was waiting for rearm.

The 60km is the distance from the control unit/radar. So you can have one launcher 20km west of the radar and another launcher 20km east of the radar (+ 20km north/south) Giving a total of 60km coverage. The actual missiles range is still cited as 40km.

Thats the issue, they only support Mach 3 (relativ) so the best what we can exspect is 1000m/s
Though the email response should basicly be a slamdunk proving the SLM to be underperforming atm, there isnt a competitor system in-game atm, so not much insentive for gaijin to fix it anytime soon, even if the bug report gets accepted
