this is from an article in Schweizer Soldat from an interview with Diehl
the only place where i have seen such details
they also report a test shot where a drone was engaged at a distance of over 30km. said drone was maneuvering yet still intercepted. the IRIS-T SLM interceptor reached an altitude of over 12km and had a flight time of around a minute

(Dunno if this realy happend)
but like, we have proven so far:
- the range isnt possible to archiv in game at all
- Time to Target does not match with IRL Reports

I tried intercepting a kh38, it proxied but nothing happened.
That seem to corroborate the Diehl press releases from 2015. And it’s great that the report was changed to a partial accepted, though the tech mod seems to be a lil confused in the final response. Did you look into the replay view?
Afaik the seeker on slm (not sure of others) can’t actually track munitions and just relies on DL to get lucky and get a direct intercept.
the missile is the IRIS-T SLM. ask them, send them an e-mail. IRIS-T SL is the old name.
But it just isn’t the old name. The system IRIS-T SLM uses the IRIS-T SL missile. That is clear everywhere in Diehl’s own material on the ammunition and system. Guided Missiles | Diehl Defence | Diehl Defence

i have literally been told By Diehl themselves, that IRIS-T SL is the OLD name for the interceptor.

Are they spying on this thread? I see they removed the comment on the missile type confusion. Oh well, as long as the information helps bring the system and missile in the right direction.
