What do they even want from us. There was no further elaboration than the closing of the issue.

u should dms tech mod about this
We did that allready, they arent happy about the sources, but we might found an source which they like, (still waiting for answer)
So they said nothing, not a “we believe blahblahblah”, just closed it, idk honestly, i’m not expecting anything good from the internal report they have either on range.

tbf, he also used outdated in game data…
Maybe we shouldn’t have added the Kh-38 in the first place, modern GBADs are almost all shrouded by classified info, this is just dumb, why promise modern AA if they are all gonna be gimped and DOA in game.
Maybe we should’ve just received MAN Pantsir and avoid all these headaches by trying to fight the reporting system.

i feel like they may have intentionally nerfed the slm , maybe they will fix it with the addition of ARMs ?. even as of now the slm is decent it can easily intercept kh38s , it has some trouble with brimstones n some other munitions but if they fix its radar it should atleast be able to defend itself and its team from enemy cas.
So we’re just screwed then? There’s not going to be any unclassified sources of the missile’s flight giving velocity and position over time in a neat graph. We have to make do with these crumbs of info that show that the current missile kinematics are blatantly underperforming, but are not allowed to infer how characteristics like speed and flight path must be corrected?

This is more on Diehl being secretive tbh. Derby missiles have specification that can be used, even Buk-M3 has enough acceptable data that can be used
Please tell me we’ve another source confirming these numbers…
this is from an article in Schweizer Soldat from an interview with Diehl
the only place where i have seen such details
they also report a test shot where a drone was engaged at a distance of over 30km. said drone was maneuvering yet still intercepted. the IRIS-T SLM interceptor reached an altitude of over 12km and had a flight time of around a minute
> test report
> some napkin math
> only see the napkin math
DENIED
:gets DM from an senior mod asking why math cant be used
:report gets accepted
XD
(Dunno if this realy happend)
