Maybe thats it. For Iris there are also vids like this were you almost see nothing like in this F-35 launch vid. Others show a smoke trail. So what is it now. Confusing.

I’m really wondering how you can correct something with a new bug report if a bug report manager points you to an old report answer that is obviously wrong? I created a report (Community Bug Reporting System)
that shows a direct source from Diehl Defence confirming that the IRIS-T SL missile is immune/resistant to blinding lasers. Then I’m simply redirected to a report from a month ago where the answer is simply wrong.

It doesn’t make sense that, according to this report Community Bug Reporting System, the standard IRIS-T will be immune to LDIRCM, but the improved IRIS-T SL missile won’t.
The IRIS-T SL Missile is resistant/immune to LDIRCM. I don’t understand how they can simply ignore such a source and point to an old report…
And please don’t reply with “Report comment function.” I recently reported a comment from a report manager, and nothing has happened since.

I dont think any of the LDIRCM was adjusted tbh. Besides maybe im reading this wrong but are the SLS suppose to be resistant currently and the SLM is lacking it or did the dev just say only the standard IRIS-T have the functionality to resist LDIRCM compared to the SLM model.

Neither of them currently have it. One report (normal IRIS-T) has been accepted for immunity against LDIRCM, but the one from SLM has not

Missile smoke is caused by the propellant itself giving out visible particles flying around.
Many modern missile use some aluminium compound that causes said smoke. Smokeless missiles usually have a lower aluminum concentration, which reduces a bit their specific impulse while also reducing the smoke trails
Condensation is a purely water based reaction. At high altitude/cold environments, the motor ejects some form of water droplets, which then almost instantly condense on the form of small ice particles due to the pressure and temperature gradient between the exit of the nozzle and the air around. This is completely unavoidable but usually only happens at high altitude, and on the ground in especially cold weather.
AFAIK, gaijin doesn’t model condensation that way for missiles (they do for planes engines tho), but realistically at high altitude ranges or in cold maps AIM 9M and other smokeless missiles should still be fairly visible.

My report with plenty of evidence, pointing out that BRM1 and 2 tried to debunk my claims for SLM with footage of a SLS system.

After all that my report got closed (Community Bug Reporting System) with “known issue” and its redirecting me to other report that was not changed since my got that Label. Whats happening now?

Is it forwarded as suggestion (which already would be a silly statement) bc theres nothing that could be a suggestion. Its wrong and has to be fixed/corrected

“Devs response: Thank you for the report. After the review, the source talks exclusively about DIRCM, very limited information about laser IRCM.
Incoherent DIRCMs are indeed ineffective against IIR seekers. However, laser IRCMs are designed to blind such seekers.Thus, the influence of laser IRCM on IIR seeker is an intended feature.
However currenting in dev server, the effectiveness of laser DIRCM is too high. by the release of the patch we will slightly adjust the necessary time and distance for successful suppression of seeker with IIR.”

We never know how many patches they need to spend on changing these game mechanics, as can be seen from the missiles turning into wooden sticks in the past few days. Maintaining the existing code pile is obviously a bit of hard for gaijin.

Although I also hope to implement the resistance issue that SLM should have against DIRCM as soon as possible, it is obvious that I would prefer WT to run stably rather than……. At least say… don’t let bad bugs like the ‘Stick Incident‘ happen again

Honestly makes me wonder how bad gaijin is gonna break trailers when the get to work on redoing the Elde’s mobility (getting stuck in a hole that has its edges only at 10°) i can only hope they dont break everything trying to bug fix stuff. Cant wait for the missile lofting to get worse somehow

In my impression, WT has already launched articulated trailer tanks like Churchill Crocodile. Is his mobility also as bad as this little thing from Sweden?

I usually think that they added some novel things to the game quite early to test some new mechanisms, but it is obviously difficult for developers and testers to discover the problems of this mechanism in specific situations during the process of using it

The thing I would love to see, is them reversing lofting somehow, by that I mean missile instead of trying to loft up, it would loft downwards, crashing into the ground. It would be funny.

Ahahahahahha no, the Churchill is basically just a Churchill mobility wise. The Elde is not just like any other vehicle, both the rear and front are powered but in game its just a trailer, ill dm you since this is going off topic from IRIS-T
