Ozelot technically isn’t a radar. If I remember correctly it is some sort of IRST system that scans the sky.

It does work on ozelot as well, it just needs a bit of fiddling around.

You select a target and press the lock button and the sight will look at it, then you can turn the seeker on and fire, but it won’t auto lead or anything like that.

Looks like the radar menu got bug fixes, can now shoot with left mouse btn and also click on targets. It would seem however the own missle tracking is a bit borked.

If I remember correctly, the Asrad has auto guidance as well

Automatic guidance only exists for ESA radar carriers. As such, they do not have it. Because it essentially is TWS + automatic lead mode. The other missiles all have LEAD mode, however as they can’t track to TWS they can’t target multiple targets at the same time.

So how is the state of the missile and radar now?
What is fixed and and what is still broken/missing?

The range and speed seem way better now, still underwhelming but at least somewhat usable.

RN it is the best of the new missiles, radar is still bugged, a bit at least for TWS ESA part. Otherwise pretty good. A few things, quite small need fixing and that’s pretty much it.

I would say it is close enough, especially for current game environment it is plenty for anything barring KH38MT, and that too is a 50/50 against SLM.

Missile issues:
The missile is still .3 mach to slow.
Doesnt IR lock air to ground munitions
Doesnt destroy air to ground munitions when it explodes next to them
Only has a max of 40G for SLM
Max fin deflection angle is to low (making the missile inmaneuverable)
Missile lofts so much that it cant intercept things at close range. (for example KH-38 with in ~4KM)

Radar issues:
Back scan (like the new Type-81)
vertical scan
DL can only guide missile to 1 target

I think the biggest Issue is h

Its really wont be that good with how inconsistent the missile intercept is. So we really have to hope they fix that before live servers. I cant destroy AASM or KH-38 and it even struggles with AGM-65.

I really meant against planes and not missiles. I really think the server desync issue needs a fix, cause even Tor struggles at times and that is a missile that is designed to fight against missiles with like huge explosive mass.

I agree its pretty good against planes at a distance but it struggles at closer ranges. Mostly because of the insane lofting. The flight path is so strange right now.

So overall a big improvement but the DL issue and intercept capability could still be a deal breaker if left untouched.

I know. It was originally on FB10 and now IRIST as well.
IDK what it looks like for IRIST but for me direct launch should not loft like this.
