U just wait for update to drop with people having high for spaa it will happen automatically
heres an orthographic image of IRIS-T SLM. with a length of 3,45m you can easily calculate the diameter
~7inches or 17,78cm
also this
IRIS-T = 5" → IRIS-T SLM ~7inch IRIS-T SLX ~10 inch
do not include the launch rails in the diameter.
Changes to SLM:
IRIS-T SLM:
better drag
worse wing area
booster buffed
sustainer removed
speed limit is now 975 m/s
min range is now 1 km
way more aggressive loft
and how exactly is that supposed to improve performance
The total impulse of the motor is now 151.2 kNs vs the old 148.1 kNs, so it’s actually better now.
Where/ how you getting these infos, I was fully prepared for the Slm to be same as on dev server ( gimped as hell )
Datamine
good connections up to Anton and BVVD )))
Zusammenfassung
Other might just call it Datamines
tiny typo,
Booster was buffed
It has 2/3 thrust, but 2.5x duration
Yeah but it doesn’t have a sustainer anymore. Altho i am not certain if SLM has it IRL
Sheet is up to date btw.
The main booster lasting 2.25 time longer will effectively mean it burns longer overall now than it did with the sustainer back on dev no? (So a huge buff to hitting targets further out)
No, now it burns for a total of 12s, it used to burn for 5+10 so 15s.
But with the M3 speed limit and the more aggressive loft it should hopefully conserve energy better beyond 10km.
burn time, thrust and drag are things that cannot be 1-1 copied from irl into the game as the game’s physics are not the same as real physics.
well ok maybe burn time can be taken irl as thats a time where it shouldnt lose speed…
but i think 12 seconds is about what it does irl
IRIS-T SLM (IRIS-T SLM (SL):
- booster force: 18800 → 12600 N
- booster burn time: 5 → 12 sec
- sustainer removed
- guidance duration: 150 → 100 sec (why…)
- max break lock time: 150 → 100 sec (why…)
- orienting phase: duration: 1.5 → 2 sec
- drag coefficient multiplier: 1.75 → 1.025
- wing area multiplier: 1.45 → 1.35
- speed limit: 710 → 975 m/s
- minimum range: 30 → 1000 m
- loft:
- elevation: 35° → 55°
- target elevation: -10° → -5°
- max target omega: 0.75 → 1.25
To make comparisons easier for the thrust: what was the sustainers stats before removal?
like 5500N and 10 sec, something like that
if this is guidance delay post launch…
bruh
I calculated this real quick since i saw the datamine, the missile should reach 30km at above mach 1 now, if someone can test that real quick would be awesome
So in total a bit shorter burn duration but more total thrust, nice. I will get a higher delta V and it will likely keep it’s speed for way longer as well with the lower drag. So all in al a bit slower of the rails but better long range performance ^^
But we’ll see once it hits live later :)
