Iris-t slm

Then why lie about sources and bla bla instead of just saying its for balance?

thats what iv been wondering this whole time ngl

me too

Its not very balanced making the best helicopters in-game the only ones immune to IR missiles and F&F ATGMs…

worst part is its not even good balance either the new sams would need to have at least m1 speeds at 16km to be as good as the pantsir but they all fall off at 12km or less

If the S350 Vityaz was added to the game with the 9m96 missile, I am sure it would be able to shoot down aircrafts and missiles from 30-40 km. but IRIS-T SLM is german you know. All the information they publish is for propaganda purposes.

well if we went off how they treated the pantsir it would hit top speed in 2.4 seconds and have almost no drag for another 16km so probably.

Modeling of SLM is so wrong that I would not be surprised if they were just phishing for classified information like engagement envelope. After all SLM is one of the key air defense assets for Ukraine.

Just look at the missile it has at least triple internal volume then the SLS, considering the warhead and guidance section are more or less the same it practically means triple size of the engine.
Also with triple of the volume SLM wont be just 150kg it is more plausible that the weight is around 240kg as claimed by some sources.

BTW I’m quite sure that weapon performance including effective range is standardized by STANAG.

I don’t want to be a killjoy, but you’re wasting your time here
gajin is perfectly aware that the missile is not limited to mach 2 and does not need any of your sources .
a simple 5 minutes search on the net is enough to have the information
With all your rejected bug reports, you should understand that it is not your will that will change things.
When gajin will be decided a point it’s all

Question regarding DIRCM on the helis: If multiple missiles get fired at said heli do they all get distracted at the same time/in parallel? If yes, then that’s a conceptual error made by the devs as a DIRCM can only focus on one missile at a time by design (it only has one laser on the helis). But I would expect they also want sources for this simple train of thought or rather basic understanding: I have one laser pointer which can only point at a single target at a time.

The last picture of sensor view of an IRIS-T SLM missile being distracted by a DIRCM was even like the missile loosing target and turning instead of switching to INS/IOG+DL the moment it registers it is blinded. So even a hovering heli is save which is kinda stupid.

Currently the LDIRCM blinds all missiles at all angles no matter what. Devs pretend they’re thinking of fixing this but state “it takes time”

Maybe dont add a system in a blatantly overpowered and completely broken state if you dont have it working properly and dont intend to have it working properly anytime soon?

AIM-9X is slightly faster than the IRIS-T SLS, SLM, and P5 because the devs gave it a slightly higher hard coded top speed of 780m/s lol

Spoiler

(Blue missile is AIM-9X):

2688kph is 746.67m/s, 9X currently has a max top speed of 780m/s. All current in-game IR SAM’s have a superior hard coded top speed compared to the new ones being added, barring the Igla, Stinger, and HN-6, all 3 of which are tiny MANPAD missiles. The Mistral is actually has a higher top speed than all new missiles being added…

Spoiler

Btw, does anyone have sensor view footage of the SLS pre-speedcap? The raw numbers seem to indicate the SLS likely has the thrust to push itself near or past M3.0 from a standstill, seeing as the 9X allegedly has a lower dV than it and makes it to ~M2.21, but the artificial speed cap it was given is likely whats preventing it from doing so (instead of gaijins pretend reason that its not air launched, so it just cant)

because they’ve always claimed that equipment isn’t nerfed or buffed in unrealistic ways
this allows them to hide behind the reporting process, which is where the magic (balance and bias) happens

What the actual hell is wrong with them, they read the last 3 words and base the entire comment on it, must be their memory spann

If i took my job as seriously as they do id be fired in seconds

Dude, you posted without sources and didn’t even see the comments made

I posted the initial page of his source being from 2008 , the missile had 60g overload before they accepted his source from 2008 and there were no comments in his claim , what do you mean

HA! They locked the bug report cuz they didn’t wanna deal with people calling out their stupid decision? xD

@Gunjob you guys have some absolute clowns handling the IRIS-T SLM situation, willingly ignoring the OEM statement on the seeker capabilities simply due to the fact it states something inconvenient to gaijins stance on their magic DIRCM forcefield for the russian helis. Too bad the other tech mods and devs dont share your standard of care for bug reports.

I literally posted the picture of the comment, It can literally apply to the SLS because SLS uses an Air Launch Iris-T, which was commented btw

What are you trying to say?
He says it wasn’t nerfed but corrected instead, I mean going from 60 to 50 is a nerf no?
