Tested it in test drive - the new MV feature is absolutely great !
The IRIS-T SLM is quite insane in therms of capability, I love it.
But it also has its weaknesses; its very damn big and easy to spot, probly can’t intercept anything within 2km (even though there is seems to be thrust control now from the looks of it ?) and yea - But its insane for long range and multi target intercept.
I wasn’t privy to the report, yes that’s true that 50G reported turns = / = max 50G, but if developers already have a reliable source stating 60G then there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. I think they would only use 50G if the source they had stating 60G was not a reliable/shoddy source. Would you happen to have anything stating 60G? Otherwise Gaijin does have a habit of relying on available sources depending on the reliability of the sources.
For instance, MICA missile’s primary source doesn’t say “Max 50G”, it just says 50G but that is what Gaijin used.
I have tested the SLM a bit against Su-30/Ka-52 and i have some bad news, it’s gonna be more of the same, if things stay like this currently with the SLM.
It can’t intercept AGM/KH, only got a lucky hit out of 2 on a UMPK-3000.
Sometimes it goes sideways for some reason instead of directly to target.
Seeker logic is bad, if it loses DL it seems the seeker doesn’t turn on sometimes, or is so bad that the target literally needs to go straight.
Seeker logic is bad again, I think the seeker activates to late in some cases, such as when intercepting munitions. (or the seeker might be bad, who knows)
It can intercept stuff farther away but you need a bit of luck and hope the seeker acquires the target, DL is very unreliable with this radar.
