No! This is an iranian tank
what type of ERA does the karrar use looks very different from the typical relikt panels on the front
The Karrar uses a domestically developed era named “Reactive Armor Type 2” (wich is pretty similar to Russiaian Kontakt-5)
I dont know about the Shir 2 being a premium… it should be a TT vehicle since UK has it as an event vehicle already
The ultimate rat tank x)
Sadly, it can’t come to a hypothetical Iranian tree at all, there is a President for vehicles added to previous trees as event vehicles being unable to be added elsewhere. Best example is the US event merkavas, where the exact variants represented there have been denied by smin as being allowed to be in the Israeli tree. Same would go for the Shir 2 now. Can’t be researchable, squadron, pack/ge premium, or an event vehicle. It’s a dumb rule, but it still stands.
I meannn if Gaijin really wants to add infantry (and it was not just an April joke) the Cobra would be a great addition :)
I think that each one of the pictures would be an insane loading screen xD
Does the community really want this nation? On top of that, it starts with a BR of 5.0, a complete copy-paste. On top of that, they complain about Spain’s suggestion in War Thunder, which has vehicles that are all BRs plus their own vehicles.
I find this reasoning very strange.
I think the BTR-50PK (M40) would need to move from premium to tech tree and another 5.0 light tank or SPAA added to complement this starting copy paste vehicle, but I find the rest of the tree to be quite self-sufficient, so I’m not sure what you find to be strange?
+1 as a premium
If we have an Israel tec tree why can’t we get a serious Iranian tec tree or sub tree?
IRANIAN NEW Air-to-air missile ON UPGRADED PHANTOM
🔸The existing image of an F-4E fighter jet carrying the new missile is a good one for fantasy measurements. Assuming the F-4E is 19.2 meters long, the new missile would measure about 365 centimeters long and about 18 centimeters or less in diameter.
🔸The above dimensions are very close to the dimensions of the AIM-120 missile in the C-5/6/7 version, including a length of 365 cm and a diameter of 17.8 cm. In addition, the overall design and configuration of the missile wings also confirm the great similarity of the new missile to the AIM-120C air-to-air missile.
🔸The AIM-120 C-5/6/7 series missile has a maximum range of 90 to 160 km and more. To estimate the range of this new missile, we must have more detailed information about the internal design and arrangement of the missile subsystems such as the engine, guidance rack, warhead, seeker, etc., but assuming access and reverse engineering of this series of AMRAAM missiles, a range of +80 km can be imagined for this new missile.
I’ve been looking into this all day, from what I can tell I have the following conclusions:
1: it’s clearly based on the Aim-120 series (no idea why everyone online is saying Aim-120C in particular, they’re the same dimension’s) and other western (or Chinese) ARH missiles. Similar to the Aim-120C-2 and later AMRAAMs it has rear clipped fins, but the forward fins are not.
2: Given its coloring this is clearly an indigenous missile being developed by and for Iran.
3: its name, capabilities, and platforms intended for its use are still unknown at this time.
4: It’s notably using a unique adapter rail mounted on the underwing pylons. Unless they modify the phantoms and other aircraft for its use in the future, it appears the phantoms and tomcats (maybe F-5s as well) would only be capable of using 2 at a time, and for the Iranian phantoms it also limits their ability to use any R-73s as well since they’re mounted in the same way.
I forget but I also think that in this configuration the aircraft would be able to mount Aim-9s as well as these missiles on the same pylon. As it’s been seen now a configuration of 4 sparrows, 4 sidewinders, and 2 of these new missiles should be possible (assuming the new radar is capable of being used with sparrows that is).
These are probably the last years we’ll see the F4s flying, because the Iranians are buying Chinese aicrafts. I would love to see how they will modify the J10 etc, it could be another unique vehicle for the TT
What if Iran were to be added as a subtree:
I compared the versions available in Iran with the versions available in the game and this was the result:
( According to sources from Iranian military archives , pictures … )
I dont like the idea of Iran being a subtree.
Even if the air tech tree is not as big as the UK one for exemple, we can stillfill it with sub trees, and keep Iran as a full tech tree.
Hello Darkplane55
I don’t like Iran to be a subtree, but it’s a fact and it’s undeniable, so instead of denying it, let’s show the Gaijin what we have as a subtree .
Its not about denying it, but the exact opposite, putting Iran as a subtree is a wasted opportunity.
We must show them the potential of the idea, and not encourage them to take the easy way out by putting Iran as a quick fix for another country’s tech tree
