If you want the old IR based playstyle, you can always play 10.3/10.7, radar missiles are easy to defeat and some IR missiles truly shine.
But don’t drag top tier planes back to that, it’s not a solution to anything.

yes, because with the maps that have clouds even at very low altitudes it is almost impossible to avoid the missiles (mainly Fox 3) or there are other maps where you can’t go too low because there are trees or there are trees with wrong hitboxes that even if you don’t touch them the plane explodes, since even dogde missiles don’t always work, then it’s more of a mode to have fun without having to go crazy for radar missiles, I don’t see it as a problem if one can enable or disable it, let’s say that not all players like radar missiles
side climb/flank get the bottom of your plane where the nose of the enemies are (notching) and once you flanked you can yank your missiles and play like usual since most of the missiles are sent at the start of the match
but it would be a shame not to use the most modern aircraft

There is nothing better than 24/7 snowball effect, no dogfight experience.

This is like the “tanks only mode” it’ll be a straight no as the answer.
I dont think we should further divide things into niche rule sets.
Not to mention that it would require a seperate balance data set.

The equivalent of OP’s request regarding tanks would be something like “APHE/HEAT/darts only”…
Would give aircraft with MAW/BOL a colossal advantage, the gripen and Mirage 2000-5s would absolutely crush everything else

The issue is balance. You’d have to have an entirely different set of BRs for every aircraft. Many have their BRs purely because of the weapons they carry often times that is the SARH/ARH missiles. Sea Harrier FA2 for example would barely be 11.7 without AMRAAM

And it’s just not worth putting in that much effort for a mode most people wouldn’t care about.
Put that effort into decompression/balancing instead of an IR missile only mode.
Yep, totally agree. Heck I’d even prefer them overhaul how IR sigs are modeled before even considering an IR only gamemode

Just play like 10.0 where IR missiles are all decent and the very few radar missiles that exist are practically worthless
It would be even more stupid to not use modern aircraft for what they are for : BVR.
Don’t like BVR ? There’s 11 BR of that. Play them.
