But where to add e.g. the Pro/Con and Usage sections? = )
Good points. I do agree that when the information gets outdated from updates/BR changes it can become less useful, however, there was often still valuable information. Perhaps an “archived” section/button would be acceptable to inform players that the information is old/outdated, while still allowing us to find that old info.
i think perhaps a better option is a “pro/cons from different users” where any user can make a pro/cons list and they get added to a segment at the bottom. could work and eliminate bias
Decal pack will be available for console??
I would love to but unfortunately, my time is not infinite, and I would prefer to be playing War Thunder instead of writing articles for it.
Why not offer in game rewards for wiki contributions? I think that would really help get those pages filled out.
Whoever designed the site knew what he was doing. I have to say, good job.
I will support wiki with the 2EUR kit, the devs deserve it. o7
😉👍
After having had a look around the new wiki, it looks like the pages for the individual weapons is not there any more. This means, you cannot look up which aircraft uses for example the AIM-9B, or which tanks that use the Rh-120 L/44.
At the same time, this removes some of the more detailed specs on some weapons. Like for example, on bombs, it doesn’t show the the Radius of destruciton of armored vehicles:

This change is looking REALLY good!! Big gold star for the designers!
I have some minor changes to the information displayed that i would personally like to see but overall its much easier on the eyes and gives a way better overview than the old one! (but is lacking some things that i forsee the community complain about soon™)
Is there no longer a general search function for things like mechanics/maps/ordinance? Or am i just blind and cant find it? (I would want the function if it isn’t there and if it is there it should be made way more visible).
Now this is just brilliant, love it!
I can’t tell you how many times i had two tabs open and flipped between the two to compare…
This is nice, but i hope it’s not supposed to replace the Pro/Con lists? (i can’t see anything that resembles the old pro/con lists in this new design). user ratings gives a brief overview but rarely tell the whole story (and since its user created it runs the risk of becoming biased).
This soothes my soul <3
Edit:
post below mine has a really good point, to be able to rate a vehicle the requirement should instead be something like 10-15 games in a spaded vehicle, not a stock one.
This should be increased to at least 50 games, probably even a 100.
With 10 games you don’t have even 20% of the mods unlocked.
They are:
My skim reading has failed me… I feel like this should in large bold font near the top of the article though. Please community managers, scream this from the roof tops!
Depends entirely on the rank of the vehicle, you can spade rank 1 and 2 vehicles in a couple of games, rank 3-5 in less than 30. A scaling amount of battles in the vehicle that increases per rank might be a better idea.
Fair enough. Make it scale with rank I guess.
Ctrl and + should fix that for u
Or just have the requirement of a spaded vehicle to be able to rate it perhaps?
AFAIK no, it’s available only via Gaijin store.
Are you logged in?
Hey… I don’t know what was your intention with the new and flashy wiki, only containing “stats”, (so, literally not a wiki AT ALL.) But I respectfully suggest you put back all (yes, ALL.) the extensive Usage in battle, gameplay suggestions, and historical text, all the missing sections per plane into it very fast.
Especially for BF 109 G-6 and all the others you basically stripped from all explanations and text.
OR at least give us a link to an archived version of the previous wiki.
There was years of information stored with all planes there. PLEASE let us access that text AGAIN.
