Introducing the 2S31 Vena: A speedy SPG

The 2S31 consists of a 120mm 2A80 gun mounted on the chassis of the BMP-3 infantry combat vehicle. A laser detector is mounted on the low part of the turret front, on either side of the 120 mm 2A80 ordnance and on either side of the turret roof at the rear which is used in conjunction with the smoke grenade system.

Although rifled, it can fire 120mm shells designed for smoothbore and rifled barrels. Laser-guided shells can also be fired. A total of 70 shells of 120mm ammunition are carried, about twice as many as carried by 2S9 or 2S23.

ok i did, im just waiting for a mod to approve it

it will perhaps need a more detailed review on it’s historical part though, but let’s see

I tried searching for information, but there seems to be very little. It seems to be similar to the 2S9 Nona, except on a BMD-3 chassis instead of a BTR-D chassis. Perhaps I might add that.

As said above, please make a suggestion. Suggestion rules can be seen here
