Information Regarding the Thai Subtree and Chinese Vehicles

I stand in solidarity with all British mains who are suffering because our tanks are either artificially nerfed, forced to use an unrealistically nerfed round, have buggy armour models resulting in holes where you can get killed from the dumbest angles, have sub-par SPAA except for like 3 BRs, have an aviation tree thats good up to 7.7 and then just sucks all the way through to 13.3 because of over-BR’d planes or planes suffering from bad flight models that are unrealistic/unhistorical and weapons systems that are way nerfed compared to real life making a bunch of planes terrible to use and also how bad HESH rounds were. We all know how effective HESH rounds were IRL which is why the British army used them so extensively but tell that to Gaijin.

Everyone else can do their own thing. But as a Britain main I stand with the other jaded Britain mains.

Now back to the topic at hand with how the Chinese player base is yet again, causing drama over a nothing burger.

It will not gonna works, because we don’t have the decision power. Let’s said they agree to argue with the players what documentation their decision based on, we still didn’t got any method to forced them taking any action. Moreover, they still having the ultimate excuses that making them win every arguement, which is the “balancing”, if they lose they will just buff or nerf the vehicle by using the excuses of “balancing”

Lets keep things Civilized… everyone is entitled to their opinion, but we will not accept inflammatory comments that are solely made to flame bait others into a fight on our Forum…

Allowing one nation to dictate what is in the game sets a poor precedence from the devs.
I am all aware of the commercial opportunity breaking into the Chinese market.

Chinese players never wanted political issues in this game, but it was Gaijin who provoked this problem first. When the F-5E (FCU) developer blog was released, some Chinese players raised concerns about the potential future addition of Chinese tanks purchased by Thailand. Gaijin responded promptly at that time, promising not to introduce any Chinese-made vehicles procured by Thailand into the Thai subtree in the future.

However, Gaijin broke its promise. Despite the historical sensitivities between China and Japan, the company insisted on proceeding with this plan. Unsurprisingly, it ignited the anger of Chinese players, who began to systematically critique all the unresolved issues with the Chinese tech tree since its introduction—including, of course, the Thai VT-4 controversy

Gaijin provoked nothing. The only people that provoked a political controversy are the ones in question who are again, making an issue about politics that should be left outside of the game.

Untrue.

This was over a year and a half ago. There is no promise here. “We have no plans” means that they didn’t think about adding the VT-4 at the time.
Considering they also said “Chinese Vehicles” instead of “Chinese-made Vehicles” is also an important differentiation. The Thai VT-4 is not operated by China, it is operated by Thailand. Therefore it is Thai. You hear people saying the Finnish F-18, the Thai OCU, the Belgian OCU, the Italian ADF, etc. It is a Thai vehicle made by China. So sure, the Thai VT-4 is Chinese-made but it is not Chinese. General Dynamics is a US-based company but made the Ajax, and nobody is calling the Ajax platform American.

This was a right thing to complain about. Every nation complains about their bug reports, and Britain and China have it the worst honestly.

Even you here say “Thai VT-4”. It is Thai.

If it’s unrelated to politics, why aren’t Ukrainian vehicles included in the Soviet tech tree?

If you don’t unite and take action, how could Gaijin ever respond to your concerns? Of course, Chinese players might achieve this precisely because of their large player base, turning what you perceive as a minor issue into a significant one.

never did, at least on the public worldwide turf

ngl most of the game`s “subtrees” have that exact same issure tho none other than Chinese are so much worried about it. I mean, is there a visible amount of Japanese players who are strongly agains Chinese techs in their tree, or the captured japanese tanks in the chinese tree?

so true.
On that forum i read so much about independent Ukrainian tree, which would be as copy-paste as Hungary, but still some ppl want it that way, not as several unique ukrainian machines in the USSR tree

Enough said. It seems you still fail to grasp the profound sense of family-nation sentiment and patriotic fervor that defines the Chinese people.

I like to separate reality from fiction and not to make political issues about something in a game that has ZERO effect on real life.

Why should he tho?
Its not our - worldwide playerbase - problem that Chinese are so sensitive about it. Starting the game, they - as any others - agreed with the User Agreement to leave the politics aside. And now their politics affects other players.
Its a GAME. the GAME people love to play. As the BF4 where you fought against China in both story and multiplayer, as the COD: BO2 where China had some role and was shown, as any other piece of multimedia that does not bring the political course, but utilites the culture and symbolics.

If Gaijing is truly as you described, why don’t they add the Nazi German flag? The Japanese Rising Sun flag, a remnant of fascism, still appears in the game, yet it was the very flag carried by those demons who killed civilians across Asia and Europe.

If you don’t consider this a political issue, then why didn’t the USSR ever receive the Ukrainian ‘Fortress-T’ tanks? Instead, you’re prioritizing the addition of Thai-purchased VT-4 tanks to the tech tree?

Rising Sun Flag used to be there until recently because the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Forces still use it today.
The hated Swastika isn’t added because its quite literally illegal for it to be there in most countries outside of historical documentaries and movies depicting real historical events. I may add it to plastic model kits I have of German vehicles from WWII not because I like the flag but because its historical, however if Gaijin wants to be able to distribute the game to its largest player base, namingly the Russian player base, they can’t have it as the game would be banned in Russia.

Because you are mistankely equalising situation with ukrainian tank going to russia with thai tak going to thai subtree.

Would be a different story if there was a Ukrainian sub-tree in the USSR tree though. Then obviously the Ukrainian tanks would go to that tech tree. Same story here with the VT-4 and unfortunately for the Singaporean players, the Singapore sub-tree too.

I absolutely agree with you on this one.

Difference is that singapore is yet to be officialy added so we can debate about where it should be placed.

Agreeing to the user terms does not mean Gaijin can arbitrarily trample on our national sentiments, nor does it mean Chinese players consent to having domestically developed Chinese vehicles added to the aggressor’s tech tree during the period between the Victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression Memorial Day (September 3) and the symbolic date of Nazi Japan’s invasion (September 18). Gaijin could have delayed this matter—first adding the T84 to Japan, then introducing the VT4 in November. Had they not released the VT4A1 with existing errors as a new model,
