Are you one of those people who doesn’t buy anything made in Japan, doesn’t consume any media from Japan, and get’s physically angry when Japan and China trade?
Using the “real relationship and historical issues” between China and Japan as an argument seems really petty from a GAME perspective. You guys need to start separating fiction from reality.
Go use historical relations to direct your anger to the annual 300 billion dollars of trade, China and Japan have in the modern day 2025. Hello are we living in the same timeline?

The way I see it, having Thai VT-4 fighting on the same team as modern day Japan is simply the result of Thai representation being realized as a subtree of Japan.
In other words- so be it.
At least it’d be presented during matches with Thai insignia. We have to live with every ROC unit being stuck carrying Five-Star symbol on our name tags even though the ROC was way more front and center in WWII.
(It probably helps that we Nationalist Chinese are taught to treat the issue with Japan as being over with… since we won.)
I have not seen any thai origin players object to the Japan subtree addition. Only the vocal Chinese minority citing historical issues. I hope Gaijin grows a spine and stops bending their knees to these who are always butthurt.
I mean, we are playing a game where the nations be matched against themselves and historical alliances are not factored in while playing realistic battles.
Like, don’t you remember the time when Britain, Russia, China and Germany teamed up to fight Japan, Sweden, Italy and the US during WW2?
We may not know that, but something that is quite known is that the Chinese tree itself is a minor nation, with one of the lower player counts compared to other nations.

That would be a nice change. I think all nations in game should be represented by flag they actually use.
Germany for example gets the Nazi War flag even post war, while I think it would be better to base it off the vehicles in the match and show the modern BRD (FRG) flag for modern vehicles.
I think it’s absolute insanity modern day Chinese still dwell on these historical issues to prevent certain aspects of the GAME to be implemented.
My grandfather actually lived through the Japanese occupation of Shanghai and he is less butthurt than some of you lot. Very much enjoys products of modern Japan, and realizes at his age it literally doesnt matter at all to dwell on it.
Notice how they dodged the entire controversy and instead shifted the attention to something else (singapore going to the CN TT). China should not have export vehicles they don’t use, otherwise every other nation should get identical copies of their export vehicles in their tech tree as well. They say they don’t get into politics and yet conceded to a purely political outcry in short order. Nobody except the CN players wanted this and frankly I wish they had their own locked off server again. This is unreal.
Chinese players are not limited to playing chinese vehicles, just as I am not limited to play czech vehicles. These numbers mean essentially nothing to the presented argument.
Sometimes I feel like China would never have become a fully fledged nation in WT if the Chinese server hadn’t been shut down.
At most the Chinese tree would have been built like the Israel tree, skipping the pure copy paste that is the WW2 Chinese tree
