The thing with infantry people seem to be forgetting is there will be BRs so drones wont be beating up on your Sherman tank unless you want that kind of pain. So Gaijin hyper investing into cope cages wont be top priority. Though it would be funny seeing people unluck them and leaving them on into normal ground battles.

The back pack ammo bag I remember popping up in Mexico with the whole cartel thing half a year back they seemed very popular. Though it used a modified M16 it seems.
I just want to know what the small arm tech tree will look like and if we will be able to mix/match attachments on higher br weapons

I wonder if we gonna get a sniper meta at some BRs. Hopefully map design does not force people into knife fights. Maps should have areas that are dangerous troopers should have to move though buildings more then being fully out side. If there is a sniper or machine gun nest you need a APC or tunnel though walls.

Open/rolling hills big maps would be nice for some of the DMR and lpvo compatible weapons too not just snipers

I just hope Gaijin does not push fully the whole you cannot snipe because people go all in m16 Vietnam squad and don’t think. There should be counter play but I hope we are able be a bit more methodical then other shooter games. But running around in the streets willy nilly should not be encouraged. Urban battles also weaken drones as most drones cannot fly inside a building easily or without losing connection this would open up the door for fiber optic drones but they have there own issue as you cannot fly raw you have to be a bit more carful at times but EW / buildings does not work.

Yeah maybe some units should be able to carry a frequency jamming device for drones either a portable or placeable one that can create a back line zone for SPAA

There are many versions but there are trade offs and depending on how realistic Gaijin wants to be. Like anti radiation missiles you can only target radars you can detect drones can run on different frequencies.
And fiber optic does not care

Yes but fiber optic can also get entangled and only goes as far as the fiber optic cable will allow but yes this all just depends on how much gaijin wants to go in to detail
They could even make them vehicles if the really wanted

Fiber optic has that issue of getting tangled range would not be relevant to WarThunder concerning the map size / battle time. (way I would fix that slightly is you get 1km of spool left when you spawn in) if your bumbling around you will run out of cable. Would be useful for indoor drone surprise or road side drone without being jammed or signal block by being inside.
EW is going to have to be something Gaijin thinks about concerning drones or make it simple so it can be understood. Concerning drones you could have a system for drones where you pick a band (1 though 20 or something) and you pick in the EW systems what bands you want to jam but that will effect friendly as well.
There is also back pack and gun jammers which would solve some of the issue in game. mix them to be almost drone proof and bring a friend with a automatic shot gun. Though you would be limited in what you can do out side of drone hunt and be exposed to attack from else where.
Bring a Atchisson AA-12 shotgun with 20 shell drum duck hunt will never be the same.
