Infantry in War Thunder: Third Testing Phase!

Can’t wait to see a bmpt shreding through entire teams… And it isn’t an IFV

Yes, my biggest fear is that when infantry is officially added, the main client will be over 100GB. My poor PC.

It already is if you have the high quality textures downloaded

also probably too late to hope for an invite since the test already started huh? registered for every single cbt so far and still nothing

Thank you holy snail I got in!!! I’m so overjoyed I might as well levitate out of my bed lol

Also i need to say this, Why isn’t there a separate m240/PKP Load-out and you have to bring some other fire arm

Looking at the Youtube videos you cannot fire weapons from vehicles you should be able to go full GTA and fire from windows and the truck bed. A guy with a shotgun in the back could keep drones away I would also add armor kit and a top mounted .50cal would help deal with this issue.

If we can have drive by raids in WarThunder before GTA 6 that would be cool. Also basement guy can use that for his memes

Really cannot understand why devote so much money, effort and development time into this nonsense. I think the gameplay, movement and gun handling is clunky, mooshy, just like in Enlisted. The sounds are also not great. Enemy players are sometimes too hard to pick apart from the background (which is not necessarily bad). In the end, if I want to have some fun playing a FPS game, war thunder is absolutelly not where I’m going to.

I thought infantry was a bad decision when it was announced back then, and I still think is a bad decision now. Gaijin, there’s no shame in dropping this project, just saying…

So glad I didnt get picked for it again. But i have friends who have played 10 hours in 6 months get picked for the beta. Makes sense war thunder.

They won’t the gameplay is what I want in an FPS not arcade shooters but also not too over stimulated on realism (talking the man carrying 4 AT-4s) this game mode still WIP can be something great but as a community we need to nudge it in the right direction

least it means Gajin isn’t bias about who’s testing

idk if it was stated before… but after watching Dollar’s clip of it… i laughed

what the hell is this

this is not how it looks when you look through scope, even if its set for extreme long range which this one isn’t…)

How do i know?

Lets just say i do.

ps. that scope in game… its like only 2-4x zoom… unlike the scope the model has that should at very least do 40x

Additional note abrams sep2 has M153 CROWS II … it was meant to be used on moving ‘targets’, this system also features counter-drone ammo, and is also used to shoot down javelins flying towards it once its selected by the optical system. (this system is also mounted on other us transport vehicles - not to mention humvee bulletproof glass - should stop 2-4 7.62x39 rounds.)

and as a note before anyone starts off if you had red dot or holo etc sight …

if you had it mounted correctly you wouldn’t see the barrel either only your target for 5-150 yards; You might see barrel if you set your sight for +200 yards for slow 556 subsonic ammo to compensate for fall off. (you would have around 28-60in fall off on subsonic 556 ammo at 150-220 yards)

yeah well what if i mount my sight like this

you got me this time.

considering I was still getting kills with that scope angle it’s still works

Its variable zoom in game, thats just the lowest setting but yeah the scopes are not very realistic and i doubt they will improve much. Right now, changing the scope zoom level just zooms the whole screen in. Realistic scope mechanics like PiP are very expensive for performance so i doubt gaijin will add them.

well for me … they should just remove player’s barrel from screen when looking through the scope. Thats all.

Its very WIP rn. On the XM5, your hand is visible gripping the handguard through the lpvo but when you zoom in the hand disappears while the handguard is still visible
