According to what little logic you can apply to gaijoob. Having rank V unlocked should be enough. It’s essentially a researchable rank V with no other vehicle blocking research of it
You need one Rank V vehicle unlocked. I ran into this issue last year where I had Rank V “opened” but no vehicles unlocked. I was not able to research the Maus.
