- Introduction:
- This suggestion is for magazine detonation related visual effects upon lethal detonation.
- The suggestion does not change gameplay mechanics, behavior nor the nature of magazine detonation.
- The suggestion is purely visual.
- Current In Game Effects:
- Upon a lethal magazine detonation, the ship simply explodes from the bow (in this scenario the bow magazine detonated) which cuts to a camera angle of your ship listing and coming to a halt before moving to the vehicle selection screen.
- Other players see the full sinking of your ship which most often goes from explosion to list to sinking.
- Primary Proposed Visual Improvements A/B:
A: Turret Detachment: The turret loses its connection to the barbette and may slide or fall away as the ship lists.
B: Explosive Displacement: The turret is violently thrown clear of its mounting by the detonation, potentially falling into the sea or striking the hull. (similar physics to how tank turrets behave upon ammorack detonation)

RN Roma missing its 2# turret due to Fritz-X hitting its magazine as an example for B.

Note: The primary proposed improvements above are the main focus of this suggestion. Additional visual improvements, including progressive secondary explosions and larger smoke plumes, are described below. Please read the full suggestion before voting.

- No
- A
- B
- Both
- Secondary Proposed Visual Improvements:
-
Upon a lethal magazine detonation, the explosion could cause multiple secondary explosions, IE from nearby magazines of other main turrets or secondary turrets, these would chain react in to a large fireball which is already how the game depicts magazine detonations, but its instantaneous inside the ship, rather than a progressive bow to aft detonation sequence im proposing.
-
Larger smoke from the burning wreck to give a more impressive and stronger depiction of sinking a ship, currently in game the wrecks dont smoke all to much before capsizing and sinking.

- Additional Notes:
- Not all magazine detonations are similar, some are poofs of smoke under the turret, much like the USS Iowa, or catastrophic turret loss, like RN Roma, this suggestion is headed towards the more catastrophic explosions that would only trigger upon vessel loss.
- The A and B points are the biggest improvements, these wouldnt be very common visuals as they require a magazine detonation strong enough to destroy the ship, instead of a magazine detonation leading to crew loss and automatic loss of vessel.
- Reclarification: All proposed turret displacement, secondary explosions, and smoke effects occur only after the vessel has already been registered as destroyed by a lethal magazine detonation. These effects are purely visual and do not affect the damage model, crew count, hull integrity, or the outcome of the engagement.
