Adding a new generation jet always removes the opportunity of adding other, older cool pieces of stuff.

And tbf, F-14A is the very first 4 gen and the stepping stone between 3 and later 4. It makes sense to add it first
F-14A was never OP. It came when Mig-23MLD was in a much stronger state and they could dogfight each other, as well as MLD having a more equal radar for closer range at the time due to the unlimited MTI mode.
AIM-120A/B/C1-3/4 are all 80km ranges. C5 increases the range, and I forget C4.

If they are clipped wing AIM-120 they will have more than 80 due to reduced drag. I don’t think they ever used AIM-120B either, due to it NOT having clipped wings
The drag decrease would be an insignificant change to range, so much so that they quote 80km on the AIM-120C1.
Correct me if i’m wrong but i’ve never seen the Aim120a/b reach those ranges
Ranges for all missiles are tested at mach 0.9something at an altitude of 12,000 meters.
That is probably why the drag penalty is negligible.
I’ve never flown that high in RB becuase i’ll get killed by someone else 120 or i’ll get no kills. I’ve only ever flown that high to do funny GBU-39 things in sim.
well you have to account for drag on missile itself while its going mach 3+

Adding F-22 ‘on right next update’ will be a death sentence to the game. no matter what F-22 is capable of.
If the US get the F-22, then of course Soviets will get the Su-57 either.
Everyone will be craving about 5th gen.
There might be some extra jets that can be added between the timeline of F-22 and F-15E.
Those jets need to come out faster than introducing F-22.
We need more gap between now and adding F-22.
DM63 out of the 2a7 has more pen and imo is arguably better. the turret armor isn’t nearly as effective ass you think it is. Yes its mobile but with the SepV2 you can’t take off the ERA which makes is equivalent to the 2a7 imo.

You are right about the worse ammo on the STRV but I think the armor more than makes up for it.
However you are wrong about 2a7v. DM63 fired from the 2a5/pso is equivalent to M829A2 in almost every way with the differences being so marginal it doesn’t matter. However when it comes to that same round coming out of a 2a6/2a7v it becomes much more potent.
Sure it might not be needed, but it’ll give the US teams something to have up on the competition. It’s armor and suitability will be worse but you’ll have an immensely powerfull round that’ll make all but the most modern era less effective.
Lazy argument. yeah you can do well in the Abrams and go on huge tears but you could do that with any top tier tank imo. I have gotten 10 kill games with the Ariete of all tanks but you’ll see nobody saying “skill issue” when you want the tank to be buffed to compete more evenly (if only slightly). Have a better argument and don’t settle for cop outs like “skill issue” it goes nowhere and it weakens your argument as people will brush it off.
The first F22 is not even close to the Su-57… it gets 9ms and 120c5s. The Su-57 however still has a large radar cross section somehow.
Maybe if it was added with 120B and 9m, but that would be lame.
They way they could balance it is by giving the SU 57 the large hypersonic missile they carry. I forgot what it was called but from what I’ve seen that thing is insane
