How much do tank wrecks affect the penetration of shells? Does the impact vary with different tanks?

If i remember correctly, it is modeled the same as when it was alive.

I think its meant to. but simply doesnt work. BMP corpses will block an L27 from killing a BMP behind the corpse but ive been killed from behind a tiger 2 corpse by T34-85s and other BS while in centurions
I shot through a 2s38 yesterday and non penned the side of an R400 with L23A1
