I'm interested if the Fokker G.I was used in Operation Blackcock and if not what planes were used on the Netherlands/German side

Hello everyone,

hope your all doing well. Today I just wanted to ask, was the newly added Fokker G.I used in “Operation Blackcock”? I am just wondering because i rly like the plane and im interest in late war history for the Netherlands thanks to Gaijin. And also what planes were used in Operation Blackcock because im not sure what 1945 Netherlands wouldve had then and if the netherlands wouldve even had their own stuff or just had the German stuff because Operation Blackcock was about the British kicking the Germans out of a place in southern Netherlands.

If you want to learn more about Operation Blackcock: here is the wikipedia page for it: Operation Blackcock - Wikipedia

And here is a document from WWII THAT IS DECLASSIFIED about it to (this document is very cool) (sorry i could not upload the file but i still got these pics):

Thats just a few pages of it there are like another 78 more pages, i might make a youtube vid on this document if you want to.

Extremely unlikely. By '45 the G1 would have been extremely obsolete. The Germans only used it as a trainer, and according to Wiki, all of them were out of service by '43.
The type had its brief moment of… err. glory during the invasion of France and that is all.

Ok ty man good to know i thaught the fokker might have been used until slightly after WWII

FWIW the Wiki articles says Canadian Typhoons were used in the attacks on Montfort.

And 2 TAF was the British tactical airforce at the time, so you can probably find some OOB’s for that online.

See RAF Second Tactical Air Force - Wikipedia
