I'm curious what you think the laser pressing system on the roof of the 99A should look like in the game

In a recent Q&A interview, the interviewer mentioned the 99A laser suppression system, and the developer replied that they still don’t know how to implement this feature, which means that this feature will not be seen in the game in the short term. To be honest, I’m a little disappointed to hear this news

As early as a few years ago when 99A joined the game, our game developer BVVD mentioned in the version live broadcast that they would consider implementing the functions of 99A’s overhead devices into the game

This mushroom looks like this in reality. It is a high-power laser that interferes with laser ranging, kills unprotected optical instruments and human eyes, and even has a certain interference ability on helicopters at close range

The appearance of the first generation system of 99II and 99III is quite different

This is a very distinctive system of Chinese tanks. I would like to know how everyone thinks the laser suppression system should be added to the game to make it unique and not disrupt the balance. Welcome to come and discuss

Patience is key when zero games have this feature and of course they have to start from scratch.

They could add the APS just spotted first though, I mean like the Leclerc, tanks should have some unique features and not just all be the exact same measures for armour, agility and pen.

Speaking of which, just two days ago, someone witnessed the new batch of mass-produced 99A being equipped with APS similar to VT4, and the next generation main battle tank prototype that was witnessed a few months ago also having the same APS

Looks like weird APS though cause I think what we speculated was that the launchers are interchangeable as we have seen them on different tanks and the only difference seem to be the launchers.

Launchers apparently are similar to the ones seen on the new mbt the chinese ate making

This prototype car is very strange, with a smaller caliber main gun and a huge equipment hidden under a camouflage net above the turret. It is unknown whether it is a machine gun, machine gun, or even a missile weapon station, or a more powerful laser. Some speculate that the positioning of this tank may be closer to a light tank based on the width of the tracks. In addition, APS seems to have a lifting mechanism, perhaps with refilling function? But so far, there have been no more sightings of this car

Hey buddy, you should have seen these two eyewitness photos before. Just in case, due to confidentiality requirements, I won’t release the photos

100% agree. All different top tiers should have a reason to play them. Instead of just asking how a certain MBT compares to a Leopard 2, Gaijin should implement features for each top tier that the haven’t yet to make every country worth grinding.

Leclerc should be more mobile and have a better FCS compared to competitors, ZTZ99 should have a laser suppression system, Merkava should have much better survivability, etc

There’s two ways I would implement this.

  1. If you shine a laser at it your sight goes white, same thing with laser range finding it more than once from the same place.
  2. Just have it disrupt lasers. Can’t laser lock it with a plane or heli and can’t spam laser range find it.

I agree except the problem that if we do make Merkava what it is IRL, it is like a IFV and we could give the extra mortars to them. The only thing is that it is not so easy to implicate.

Perhaps allowing Mekava to carry an additional 8 members, just like in reality, would be very distinctive and greatly enhance his survivability. After all, it cannot be denied that Mekava’s hardware level is inferior to most other countries’ top tanks in tank to tank confrontations

In fact, Leclerc’s transmission system and tracks have been greatly weakened, and his maneuverability is far inferior to other tanks with equivalent horsepower engines. It is said that this is because he was too strong when he first joined the game, but now we have stronger tanks such as A7V122B+at 11.7. Leclerc’s weakened maneuverability should have been restored

You got no clue what you’re talking about if you think the Merkava Mk.4 isn’t advanced, it’s literally one of the most advanced, well protected, and modern MBTs IRL.
Sure it isn’t represented that well ingame tho lol, but it’s far more advanced than a few other top tier MBTs ingame, or in service in the world currently. (Just wait till you hear about the Barack II system to allow the crew to see outside the tank like they’re in VR lol, which if added ingame could give the Merkava Mk.4M Barack II third person thermal vision :D

I mean it’s literally the heaviest tank in service (80 fircken tons) in the world, the largest tank in service with its massive ass profile, and the most well protected tank with its modern SLERA (Self limiting explosive reactive armor), which is particularly effective against chemical threats, but also kinetic. Anyone who believes the tank wasn’t designed to be able to deal with kinetic threats in delusional, as the Merkava series is literally meant to deal with MBTs.

Furthermore

The Merkava Mk.4 would need to remove some ammunition or essentials in the crew cabin to be able to pack that many people into such a tight space in the back. The most I could see would be an extra 2 added in the back like with the Strf 9040C

Perhaps the 99A can be transformed into a spot of light in enemy thermal imaging, white light, and low light night vision after being laser ranging or manually turned on? And increase the error of laser ranging to interfere with laser guided missile bombs. In reality, tank sights have anti laser coatings, which will weaken the spot intensity from the perspective of gunners and tank commanders

Okay, maybe I don’t know much about Israel’s military industry. Third person thermal imaging is indeed a good idea, but the question is how much hardware level Meikava has. In the future, the Soviet T14 or even its predecessor, the 195 Project 477 Project, which may join the game, may have KE1000+ and carry 152 guns. There are also M1 and Leclerc guns with 140mm guns from the United States and France. Germany has also launched more Super Leopard 2, and the Israeli line seems to have come to an end. This is not only a problem for Israel, but also a problem for China, Japan, and Italy

There’s still a lot to add, and many adjustments to be made. Yes fabled 1000mm pen shells may come, but pretty much every tank with be susceptible to them. The Merkava Mk.4 should have Leopard 2A7 levels of turret armor, and the Merkava hull should be practically immune to every chemical threat in the game (yet it’s not, and 15 tons underweight ingame lmao).

The Israeli line isn’t exactly done however, as the Merkava Mk.4 Barak still needs to be added with its updated electronics, systems, and addition of the Barack iron vision 360 degree system, and even upgraded armor! It would be a more end of the line tank, and vehicles such as the Sabra series and the Sabrah Ascod, paired with light tanks such as the Namer IFV (which should have more armor than the Merkava but gaijin does gaijin things and ruined it) or the Eitan IFV.

There’s also the illusive Merkava Mk.4M that mounted and tested the Iron Fist APS, rather than the Trophy APS used in production. Would be a cool event vehicle or counterpart ingame, given it can intercept some APFSDS shells rather than just ATGMs and HEAT-FS/HE shells

Point being, still lots of potential additions. And on top of that, Israel still doesn’t have a single subtree. If it gets something like Chile in the future, we could see a highly upgraded Chilean Leopard 2A4 with modern armor, APS, and Israeli 120mm firepower, but we’ll still have to see where that program goes first :P.
There’s also the possibility for a LATAM or ABC tree if gaijin so wishes to add such.
