If you could, how would you re-balance CAS in Ground Battles?

I don’t see the situation as that drastic, of course there are many things that could be changed.
The new 12.7 AA units are very strong! As a start, I would increase their SP points. Secondly, you cannot separate air power from ground forces if we want to stay realistic. Whoever dominates the skies will most likely win the match, just like in real life.
I support the addition of NEW AA units, but most importantly I would prefer a rating-based matchmaking system some kind of method where players of similar skill levels face each other. Because that’s the root of the problem. Think about it… they can add any AA, they can buff any AA, but if the person controlling it doesn’t know what they’re doing, it won’t matter. The same goes for air power.The focus should finally shift to the players themselves, not just the tanks or planes. Often AA feels weak simply because inexperienced players are using it. But if a weak AA player doesn’t have to fight against a professional fighter pilot, the gameplay experience immediately improves. Likewise, if a beginner air player doesn’t end up against a team of professional AA operators, the game becomes much more enjoyable.

65Ds can be launched past IR SAM’s range so your point is moot.

Plus i love how people cry about SPAA not being able to do much…but have you considered taking a god damn fighter to hunt down CAS?

So people wanting to play tanks are now supposed to grind air trees as well ?
That’s easily millions of added RP/SL and dozens of hours of play time.

I mean if you download a game knowing its a mix of ground and air vehicles,you should know what to expect,so grind air too atp,it legit takes nothing to grind a plane,like actually…i started ground units,reached after a long while 6.7 USA
Decided to try air a bit to put a plane in a lineup and got top tier planes out of the grind so uhm…it legit is pretty easy

Just because multiple vehicle types are present doesn’t mean you’ll be forced to research/play both.

It takes a lot of time and resources if you’re interested in modern technology.

Get a fighter that cost 200 SP to go hunt for CAS : ❌​

Continue to spawn SPAAs and tanks knowing the threat is still up to then complain on forums saying they are unbalanced : ✔️​

No one forcing you,you dont want to grind them easly?Ahem dont complain about not being able to do anything
Plus CAS its mostly unbalanced when FaF appears,anything below can be countered easly to a part since planes has to actually get close besides like 2/3 planes which you can btw spot them from other part of the map and get air before the bomber can reach the battlefield

Just track my AIR stats,they are horribles but somehow managed to get air top tier (Nearly the whole tech tree too btw) and still unable to get a good 10.7 ground lineup

A-10A can’t kill you if it can’t see you, and they were infact sitting out in the open. You’re just lying cause you want to believe CAS is OP.

Game is literally forcing me if I want to have a lineup that’s fully competitive. Grinding whole Air tree also isn’t easy and takes a lot of time.

Ground should have viable counters for CAS among their own vehicles, otherwise the game balance is out of the window.

They can only by having SPAA heavy batteries like 300 km away from the front lines which in WarThunder we wont have for a LOOONG TIME

So its just fair atp,they should increase SP requirements to spawn CAS loadouts but if you want to fully counter them,get air up,its literally that simple

Just telling you that researching air alongside ground takes a long time.
People that enjoy and want to play tanks have to go through this, while people that enjoy and want to play aircraft don’t need to.
