If i point my tank barrel up while i am reloading does it go faster

becasue tanks irl do this to make it easier for the loader.

No.

No it doesn’t change anything. It’s called placebo effect or something, you can only decrease reload speed by training your loader with proper reloading skill and crew expertise.

it should be a feature in game

should be in game

Placebo effect doesn’t need to be in-game, people itself develops this perspective, and reloading rate based on barrel position would be a very awkward feature at a point of annoying, some vehicles just don’t have reasonable elevation rate to justify rising up all the way to reload, and then lower it again to shoot, I don’t think there’s a reason at all.

thats why it should be an option

No it should not be. You would have the same exact reload as now except when not looking up the reload would go up and take longer.

You don’t know the snail and this is exactly what they would do.

The reload is already unrealistic since it stays the same regardless of your tank being stationary or weaving and moving full speed over hills and shit.

true, but i love the snail

You point your barrel up the enemy will kill you in second. Russian MBT take like 2 minute just to get the barrel fully up… Now imagine the T-84 Oplot 1 Degrees per Second.

that is true

The time taken elevating and then resetting the gun is likely greater than the possible marginal benefit that having the breach lower might give.
