IAI Lavi

for some reason i cant find the site i read that in. i will sand it as soon as i find it.

I cant find the site i found it in, ill send it as soon as i find it.

Better than the J-10? Really? I thought the J-10 had superior flight performance while the big advantage was the 30mm with better velocity than the 23mm found on the J-10.

A website isn’t a source. Just a friendly reminder.

The Lavi was intended to carry Derbys and Python 4s, while the radar was compatible with the Aim-7 and the Aim-9M and Python 3 were also mounted.

If gaijin wants to go down the Yak-141 route, they can give the Lavi countermeasures and more, allowing it to have access to ARH, HMD, and Python 4s if we’re lucky. Well just have to see… hopefully gaijin doesn’t apply double standards and give the Lavi poor treatment compared to the Yak-141.

I did some searching on internet, can I consider python 4 has a similar maneuverability capability as r73?

the j10 body was inspired by the lavi. but still the lavi has a bettter flight preformance.

Python 3 and 9L, yes, but not 9M, as they only entered service in Israel in 2008 (iirc) on their F-16’s only. I even think that the F-15’s ingame didn’t even have 9M and just have it for balance reasons, but I’m not sure about that one.

Yes. (JK)

Why bother bringing politics up in a forum for a game about planes and tanks?😭

So basically:
The Python 4 uses a lifting body design and no thrust vectoring, yet it’s able to work as though it has thrust vectoring.

The Python 4 has ~70Gs of pull, self limiting thrust (for the tightest turn circle possible), Stinger IRCCM (dual path: Shut off IRCCM (Aim-9M) & Gatewidth IRCCM (R-73)), 90 degree off boresight launches, long range for an IR missile (only the R-27T/ET has more range than it if added rn), and the ability to reengage targets it kinematically misses by circling around for it (kind of like the Aim-9X as you may have heard of for this specific capability).

It’s an absolute monster… however by the way it’s looking in the files it’s not going to be much of a dogfight missile since it’s missing self limiting thrust.

Its extremely lifting body design, allowing it to pull ~70Gs with high AOA:

That is a very impressive missile. However, I don’t think gaijin will implement aim9x class ir missiles to the game at present. They even think python3 with irccm is too powerful.

The PL-8B is basicly Python 3 with irccm.(^_^)

Oh trust me, I know all about it ;)

But yeah Python 4 will take a little bit of time, however I don’t think it’s comparable to the 9X. It’s more of a in between compared to things like the 9M/R-73 vs the R-73M/R-74 or Aim-9X, IRIS-T, ASRAAM, and all those other modern thrust vectoring missiles.

the lavis rader is eltas EL/M 2032 it can fire darbys with the radar but i dont think it had them

No, it had the Elta EL/M-2035. 2032 derived from it.
