please please please add this beauti, as an Indian, I had always wanted to see this plane in game, the only high rating plane we have that is indian, is the Mig 21 bison in british tach tree but thats a premium, i would love if gaijin adds this beauty in the game, either in british, or russian air tree (no premium pls). Me and my frnds, 1 of which lve streams warthunder on youtube always wanted a top tier indian plane.

How does a 360 degree boresight work? Does it have seekers in the back to track?

it just uses loal. it’s fired, uses iog to turn towards the target, then points its seekerhead to where the target is expected to be and locks on

Thanks for explanation.
As far as I can see the brochure for Astra only talks about the launch of the missile in 90 degree off boresight. It doesn’t say anything with regards to targeting ability.
Like the R-77, it also has the LOAL, so to me looks kind of similar in this aspect as well. Happy to be corrected though.

Lock range is a very deceptive value. It does not give RCS, so the difference in the lock range can come from different reference targets.
