R-77 was deemed Inadequate, Derby was Tested but ultimately they went with Mica and Astra.
they literally bought more r-77-1 in 2025. derby was tested but not ordered for extensive use. we dont even know if mica is in active use. they are restocking R-77s with Astra mk1. so R-77-1 , astra mk1

Can I also add this image to the argument. Even without sub tree tech you can’t really call British top tier, British with the amount of imports and joint projects already present. The only pure British made thing are the Harriers and the Bucc.

90% of the su-30mki service life it used rvv-ae. and now they have rvv-sd. In actual service it still mostly uses russian weapons. Astra will go into service, but it is in limited production right now

Joint ventures have been common for quite a while, that doesn’t make the vehicles less this or less that, the eft or tornadoes or jaggies are all british, they just happen to also be more than british.

which ones are those? as from my experience the harriers are hard to play and are sitting ducks, they need to fix the flight model so bad as when you drop flaps the be floating
