Apologies if this is the wrong section, as I’ve never done any of this before, but I’m interested in suggesting a higher BR April 2026 and/or Link 16 modification of the A-10C Thunderbolt II and would like assistance in doing so.
The reason I would like to suggest an A-10C Late model is that many systems would require a higher BR to balance and possibly be unavailable for our current A-10C. Adding a later variant of the A-10C would allow the current A-10C to remain at battlerating 11.7 while also granting the US a sort of equivalent to the Russian Su-25SM3.
These first two images are of the recent April 2026 modification of the A-10C, which was modified for Probe and Drogue refueling. The second two images are of the A-10C using Link 16.
If an A-10C late is added at a higher BR, say 12.3 Ground RB, it would open doors to new munitions compatible with the BRU-61/A carriage, such as the JAGM-F and GBU-53 (SDB-2).
For Air battles, this A-10C Late could be given a rather unique opportunity to be among the first planes within War Thunder to be granted ECM abilities through the use of its AN/ALQ131 Jammer as well as next-gen IR missiles such as the AIM-9X Block 2.
If anyone would like to assist me with a suggestion on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Any additional information and sources are also greatly appreciated.
I am not the most knowledgeable about aircraft; most of my information is tank-related. Despite this, I am very passionate about the A-10 and would love to bring this to War Thunder.
