I saw an interesting saying that the launch vehicle of the Buk missile can use its own fire control system to lock onto and attack ground and sea targets
If this feature is implemented in the game, the Buk can launch more precise attacks on visible ground targets, just like the Chrysanthemum anti tank missile
Do you think it makes sense to add features like 9M123 to the Buk missile in the game?
I saw this statement on the Chinese Internet, but I can’t find more supporting materials. Can anyone prove the authenticity of this statement?
It is true, but not like what you think, it can track ground targets, but the ground clutter will make it impossible to properly track a target, and again, its designed for air targets, so 80% chance it wont do anything to tanks, and not only that, the chance of the missile actually hitting the target by avoiding all ground clutter is very low, it will come near the target but will never directly hit the target, sea targets have a similar issue, and dont forget, the FCS of the buk was made to hit AIR targets, not ground, so it wont properly hit ground and will always struggle.
Why would anti-air missile have scuh feature implemented in the first place.
