I need help writing an article

Hello,
I am currently writing an article about the American LVT(A)(1) tank, but I have a question: I know that this tank has surprisingly great survivability which is caused by it’s large size and its spread out crew. But, what I am not sure of is that if the armor thickness also helps with the survivability of this tank because that means most of the shells (especially AP) pass right through it, right?

I mean, APHE still fuzes on it, but I guess there might be an argument for the “no armor best armor” meta with limited spall due to thin armor? Imo the armor is average for the BR, not especially thin or anything

Honestly, I find it pretty thin when compared to other tanks at its BR

So I guess I will include in my article that even though its armor fuses APHE, AP rounds go right through its armor if not aimed correctly?

You can consider the following as reference:

“Although amphibious vehicles share a particular feature; thin armor, they also don’t have great survivability. In War Thunder vehicles like the LVT(A) Mk.I is the opposite—composed by 6 crewmember, spaced modules, the enemy will have a hard time trying to knockout this vehicle from the battlefield because of its thin armor values: Armor Piercing-High Explosive (APHE) might not even fuse once it pierces its 6 mm of side armor and Solid Armor Piercing (AP) might not even create enough spall to take out critical modules if not aimed correctly, however, keep in mind: High Explosive-Anti Tank (HEAT) and High Explosive (HE) will certainly overpressure the overall vehicle structure and surely knock you out in a single hit in the center of mass.”

Thank you very much! Could I copy this (and maybe change some things)? I will give you some credits of course (if my article gets accepted lol)

Yes, you can certainly copy and change a few things here and there to fit your article and hopefully be accepted. I personally think this is a minor contribution, up to you to give credits.

ok Thank you very much! That actually helped a lot, so I will give credits.

I also have another question: can the top speed of the LVT(A)(1) (40km/h) be considered between mediocre and average considering the fact that it is light (14.9 t)?

It’s decent for the size and battle rating in my opinion, in some conditions even fast. 16.8 hp/t is quite good.

Armor offers minimal help with survivability, its more big/spaced crew and taking advantage of overpen
